Pig has just revealed the “they’re here” incident was an alarm company doing new alarms for his Goutfort that was being done to all the khandos in his gated fortress by the HoA.

I’ve never heard of an HoA covering security services, let alone one in a gated community.

More to the point, why isn't Katherine able to oversee the installation/make some small talk/offer the guys a coffee on her own if any of this scenario is even true.. zzzzutt they're lies? Okay.

Why does she need the real adult husband to take time out of his real adult work schedule, to stahp making muh hard earned munneh in order to babysit a pair of 3-10 blue khaller jealous of his big titty townhouse tryhards. If she's mentally irregular to the point she can't handle such basic interactions then it's hard to believe she actually functions just about anywhere in society with a jahb of her own. The alternative is she's a pissy bitch who refuses to take time out of her own real adult gaming passtime to do it for him. Whichever way you slice it both scenarios make her sound like a real prize plum of a catch and truly the kind of soulmaid our boy davesideshil deserves.

Phil had to show the guys where the alarm system was and where all the windows are located. I mean it's not like they already did a dozen condos with the exact same layout.

This to an extent. Just possibly an excuse to go out to shop more for stuff other than food. Fun dollar spending time.

Either way, if he truly is going grocery shopping every week, it just makes him look stupid. Just like everything he chooses to share, if he's lying he's hiding something, if he's telling the truth, he looks like a bumbling dumbass.

Yeah, they're absolutely going out to buy a lot of stuff other than groceries every week. On the rare occasions Phil goes into a little bit of detail about where he went, he seems to mention going to a department store every time. What the fuck does Phil or Kat need to buy from a department store? They've been living in their current place long enough to have all of the home essential stuff (tools, appliances, furniture, etc.) that they need.
The only other thing that I can think of that they sell at department stores that might be considered an essential is clothes, and as he 'works' from home and rarely goes out, Phil has no need to go clothes shopping. He could pick up a 12 pack of Hanes underwear/socks/t-shirts and be good for another 6 months.
And of course, it's an excuse for him to go out and eat once a week, which he will do at a bare minimum no matter how bad his financial situation is.
I'm sure there's general entertainment spending that we'll never know about as well. All in all a nice chunk of money being thrown around on non-essentials every week despite "no disposable income".

So he could stop playing video games. All they needed was someone in the condo to reduce liability; they don't want someone saying "They broke/stole my stuff when I wasn't home!" later on. He could have gone downstairs, asked if they needed anything from him, and gone back upstairs when they undoubtedly said "No."

Do we know how long ago Kat started working at her job? Phil said that she had a week of vacation that she just so happened to be randomly taking during the week of that supposed alarm installation. A lot of shitty entry level jobs don't even let you start accruing vacation for the first year.

Also, are Phil's HOA fees going to go up to pay for this supposed alarm company's monitoring service? On the one had, he does tend to be secretive about his bills (probably because if he talked about them enough people would notice he doesn't actually have that many unique bills to pay, ruining his multiple overdrafts a month story). But on the other hand, it's hard to imagine him giving up a new opportunity to bring up why he needs that money right now. To, uh, pay his bills?

I was also curious about this, but I believe when she first moved in he claimed she just transferred jobs, so she’d still have time owed to her. Some jobs also let you take unpaid days off around holidays.

Alarm companies almost never install alarms on 2nd story windows unless there is a specific security concern, like a fire escape ladder bolted to the outside of the house, or the customer specifically requests and pays extra for it.
Less than 2% of burglaries per year have the 2nd floor as the point of entry.
Also Phil has showed us his house interior lots of times, he doesn't have motion sensors.

The only way I'd believe Phil goes grocery shopping every week, is if he talked about perishables. I only give him that because I go through a gallon of milk and two-dozen eggs a week. There are other things, but those are the mainstay of my "time to go shopping" trip. So I'd be willing to give him weekly shopping; if he'd talk about shit that's not pasta or sauce. Pasta, frozen, and canned stuff lasts far longer than dairy or fruit; but what we know about his diet, it's made to last.
