A) He's in the depressive phase of a manic-depressive cycle
B) He explained to someone why he's been so mad for a week and they said "it sounds like you owe them an apology for the way you reacted to good advice"

Either way, I hope he ignores this irresponsible speculation and continues the recent behavior path that is much better for him in the long run
