What an ally to women, thinking something was inappropriate and instead of approaching them to ask if everything was okay he just watched. This makes him look even worse in my eyes and I hope he's never in a real situation like that where something awful is really happening. Emmett is the exact kind of guy too scared to approach in such a situation but pat himself on the back for "doing the right thing" for reporting it to someone else after the fact and make them deal with it. He also talks like he was observing a foreign culture and their customs the way he describes being a guest at the con and not knowing "what their laws are."
