A transgender girl accused of assaulting two students at a Texas high school alleges that she was being bullied and was merely fighting back

Shocking video shows a student identified by police as Travez Perry violently punching, kicking and stomping on a girl in the hallway of Tomball High School.

The female student was transported to the hospital along with a male student, whom Perry allegedly kicked in the face and knocked unconscious.

According to the police report, Perry - who goes by 'Millie' - told officers that the victim has been bullying her and had posted a photo of her on social media with a negative comment.

One Tomball High School parent whose daughter knows Perry said that the 18-year-old had been the target of a death threat.

'From what my daughter has said that the girl that was the bully had posted a picture of Millie saying people like this should die,' the mother, who asked not to be identified by name, told DailyMail.com.

When Perry appeared in court on assault charges, her attorney told a judge that the teen has been undergoing a difficult transition from male to female and that: 'There's more to this story than meets the eye.'

Perry is currently out on bond, according to authorities.

The video of the altercation sparked a widespread debate on social media as some claim Perry was justified in standing up to her alleged bullies and others condemn her use of violence.

The mother who spoke with DailyMail.com has been one of Millie's most ardent defenders on Facebook.

'I do not condone violence at all. But situations like this show that people now a days, not just kids, think they can post what they want. Or say what they want without thinking of who they are hurting,' she said.

'Nobody knows what Millie has gone through, and this could have just been a final straw for her. That is all speculation of course because I don't personally know her or her family, but as a parent and someone who is part of the LGBTQ community this girl needs help and support, not grown men online talking about her private parts and shaming and mocking her.'

One Facebook commenter summed up the views of many, writing: 'This was brutal, and severe! I was bullied for years and never attacked anyone!'

Multiple commenters rejected the gender transition defense and classified the attack as a male senselessly beating a female.

One woman wrote on Facebook: 'This person will get off because they're transitioning. This is an animal. She kicked, and stomped, and beat...not okay. Bullying is not acceptable, but kicking someone in the head. Punishment doesn't fit the crime.'

Wonder if any US politicians will take note of what's happening in the UK right now, where women who were solid voters for the left have decided not to vote for anybody at all.

In a country with as low a voting rate as the US, the plurality of the votes usually go to "nobody at all," from all the registered voters who didn't show up to poll (or the non-registered who never cared enough to even maintain eligibility to poll). You don't need to convince a bunch of women to vote for pussy-grabber orange man if you're the GOP, just goad the Democrats into positions that leave more women staying home on election day.

I can't wait for all the trans sideshows on KF to flip shit that it was terves who cost the Dems the election, for daring to refuse to vote for a party that didn't have their interests at heart. It of course won't be the fault of the noble trans, who did nothing wrong and certainly didn't tell everyone who disagreed with them that they were fascists who should never have a voice in the party.

Privately, they have to know what is going on. But I think they are too committed now to back out. They are more afraid of a troon grabbing a mike and embarrassing them than they are of women not showing up at the polls. Honestly, I'm starting to wonder if the Dems are trying to lose on purpose.

I don't have kids but I didn't appreciate being expected to tell a woman that she was wrong for being nervous around a man in a dress. How can I be a feminist and tell women that they need to make themselves less safe to make a bunch of men happy?

Wasn't there an angry article(from Vice maybe) by a troon a couple of months ago, posted somewhere in this thread, that said it is not a human right for women to feel safe? It was about women not being comfortable with men in dresses in their locker rooms and bathrooms, they have to make some sacrifices. There was a great irony in the message.

Laurence Krauss is often an insufferable superior asshole to religious people or anyone else who doesn't toe his exact line on "science".
Yet here he is fawning all over New York Times head tranny opinion writer Jennifer Finney Boylan, whom he fondly calls Jenny.

"Jenny" is gross & just proudly trooned out his son too.

Somebody plz listen to this whole thing (i hate this guy) & tell me if he is actually being scientific since he bitches everybody else is not as smart as he is, but believes we can change chromosome. i believe in God but not trannies, professor Krauss!

amusement: their voices are the exact same register of baritone.

possibilities:

1) Krauss was tight with Jeffrey Epstein & #MeToo 'd in a couple of incidents. maybe this is effort to get back in feminist good graces, or what he thinks feminists want

2) tranny chaser Krauss?

3) Krauss thinks he will meet people from the New York Times, Hollywood (Jenny was on the Caitlyn Jenner Comedy Hour), etc.

he doesn't believe this shit does he?

scientists wonder why don't the masses get on board with climate change science???
maybe because we see this is the kinda bullshit science you peddle & nobody wants any.

I'll try giving a listen. Going by what you've said though, people can segments of DNA but chromosomes and sex? As of now, no definitely not. This whole thread is living proof of no we cannot completely change to the other sex. Not without gross frankenparts.

Edit: looking at the description its just discussing a day in the life and so far nothing overtly "scientific". Interesting that hes a theoretical physicist tho.

Clinton is actually in the dog house with trannies right now for the most milquetoast transphobic statement, basically transwomen have different life experiences than cis women. It's hilarious how fast they throw people under the bus, and how a slight rewording to make them sound special without changing the meaning would get blind praise.
Troons desert Rodham the moment she ceases to be politically useful. So much for "solidarity".
Still, it couldn't have happened to someone more deserving.

This thing is more than an hour long! Cliffnotes please, especially the part pertaining to "chromosomes".

That's what you get for letting a woman leave the house without her male escort

Calling someone what they want to be called is the civilised, polite thing to do
Donald Clarke: The non-binary pronoun ‘they’ is the dictionary’s word of the year

We are used to “word of the year” being something awful from the internet or street slang. “Youthquake”, “vape” and “selfie” have recently figured in the Oxford English Dictionary’s variation on that handy column-filler (yeah, I know, sorry). As is so often the case with American institutions, Merriam-Webster dictionary has, however, generally taken a more sober approach. “Justice,” “feminism” and “surreal” – all words with long histories – have figured in recent years. For 2019, recognising online searches, the dictionary has sided for a very particular usage of a very common word. The word of the year is “they” when used as a singular personal pronoun for non-binary people.

This is good because it reflects a genuine and welcome change in language. It is also good because it will annoy people who deserve to be annoyed. You know who I mean. They used to be retired admirals and lady captains of suburban golf clubs. “Look what they’ve done to ‘gay’! Perfectly good word that I once used daily to describe my state when drinking a gin before Gardeners’ Question Time. If I use it now people’ll think I am a flaming…” And so forth. Now those people are, among other sorts, junior software engineers from Phoenix who, when not whining about “they” being used to describe a singular entity, bellow at “Social Justice Warriors” for creating a “woke” travesty of Star Wars. It would be an awful shame if one of them were to have an apoplectic fit.

Merriam-Webster must have had a nightmare counting the mentions of such a common word and determining which fell into the correct linguistic category, but they’re sticking with the claim that searches for “they” were 313 per cent higher this year than they were in 2018. The widening of usage was emphasised in March when Sam Smith declared themselves non-binary and – as you will already have gathered from this sentence – confirmed that henceforth the singer’s pronouns were “they/them”. “I understand there will be many mistakes and misgendering, but all I ask is you please please try,” they wrote. “I hope you can see me like I see myself now.” We’ll come back to the first bit of that.

Gender-neutral personal pronoun
To be fair to those who balk at the shift, there has been some disingenuousness in the argument, made by proponents, that there is nothing new going on here. English has hitherto had no gender-neutral singular personal pronoun to use when we have yet to establish who we’re talking about. “He or she” was there as an option, but that usage becomes enormously clunky when repeated throughout a paragraph. “He or she will make a speech while his or her Nobel Prize is being transferred to his or her suite. He or she will then…” And so on. One solution, of course – still not uncommon, alas – is to just stick with a masculine personal pronoun. Men are, the implicit argument goes, the default settings for human beings. Benjamin Dreyer, copy editor and author of the essential Dreyer’s English, ain’t having that. “I’m having thoughts about writers who persist in using the allegedly epicene ‘he,’ and they’re not nice thoughts,” he wrote recently. (Dreyer applauds Merriam-Webster’s inclusion of the non-binary “they/them”.)

In recent years it has become accepted practice to use the third person plural instead of the baggy “he or she”. My understanding is that most retired admirals and golf-club lady captains are fans of the Great British Bake Off. They will have heard Paul and Prue, when judging the technical challenge, refer to each unidentified baker as “they”. That sort of thing.
It is, however, not correct to suggest that this usage is identical to the one acknowledged in Merriam-Webster’s word of the year. The supposed grammatical infelicity is the same – “they” is standing in for an individual – but, in the current case, we are not necessarily unsure of that person’s identity. They may, for instance, have been confirmed as the bloke who sang the theme tune to Spectre. It requires, for most of us, an intellectual leap (or hop, anyway) to refer to a specific person as “they”. Smith acknowledged that in their statement. They allowed that people will get this wrong and ask only that we try to write as suggested.

It is worth taking that leap (or hop). Not because we fear cancellation by the imaginary hordes of Social Justice Warriors. Not because we’ve been brainwashed by the fabled Woke Police. It is worth making that shift because it is the polite thing to do. The civilised procedure is always to call people what they want to be called. It is not that long ago that correspondents to newspaper letters pages scoffed at constructions such as “African-American” or “indigenous people”. They got over it. Or they died.
Be nice. It’s Christmas.

I used to be on board with singular they to refer to a person of unknown sex, and even to refer to a person of known sex without "needlessly" specifying it, after Douglas Hofstadter. Once the nonbinary bullshit took off, it's "he or she".

Also:
My third-person pronouns are I / me / my / mine. Pls no misgender kthx.

Privately, they have to know what is going on. But I think they are too committed now to back out. They are more afraid of a troon grabbing a mike and embarrassing them than they are of women not showing up at the polls. Honestly, I'm starting to wonder if the Dems are trying to lose on purpose.

There's probably a lot more money in being the "resistance".

Also, the nice thing about being the "resistance" is that you don't actually have to get anything done.

After dancer strips at Seattle conference on homelessness, agency director suspended

The director of King County’s coordinating agency for homelessness is on paid leave following a dancer’s strip show at the agency’s annual conference on Monday.

Performer Beyoncé Black St. James danced topless in a sheer bodysuit, gave lap dances and kissed attendees, according to a staffer at a local housing nonprofit who attended the conference in South Seattle.

Kira Zylstra, organizer of the conference at South Seattle College, has been placed on leave as of Thursday, according to Denise Rothleutner, chief of staff for the King County Department of Community and Human Services.

The department declined to comment further because of the active investigation, Rothleutner said in the email. Zylstra was not available for comment. Her suspension was first reported by journalist Erica C. Barnett on her website.

Zylstra has led All Home, King County’s coordinating agency homeless services, since January 2018. But her job could soon become obsolete as Seattle and King County prepare to replace All Home, which has been criticized as weak and ineffective, with a new regional authority on homelessness. Zylstra was paid about $123,000 a year, according to a county spokesperson.

The performance was in the same room as a catered lunch at All Home’s annual conference, this year at South Seattle College with the theme of “Decolonizing our Collective Work.”

The only note on the agenda was “Lunch with Cultural Presentation,” and there was no other warning or announcement about the nature of the performance, according to the staffer, who was surprised but not uncomfortable with the performance.

In a short video, St. James, a Spokane-based entertainer who identifies as a trans woman on her Facebook page, can be seen doing high kicks in a revealing bodysuit and with silver pasties.

“No one expected it,” the staffer said. “So I think some people felt uncomfortable.” The first person St. James kissed seemed surprised, according to the staffer, but the ones following seemed more enthusiastic.

you can’t change out a chromosome. The limits of CRISPR just now are replacing, removing or editing sections of sequence in specific target cells. You cannot just go in, pull out all the Ys and add in an X.
If you had some magical way of teleporting out every Y chromosome and replacing it with an X you STILL wouldnt magically turn into a woman. Your body has been grown and sculpted from conception as Male. You also don’t need two active X chromosomes - one shuts down in females at random early in the developmental program. Having an extra, active chromosome is generally really very bad. Hence trisomies like Down syndrome. An extra X does exist in nature and does indeed have bad effects - trisomy X syndrome females suffer from a range of issues.
These people have a really odd view of biology. They don’t see the system as a complex whole. They see it as series of plug and play parts, which can be altered at will (see: endless screeching about womb implants.) it is a very simplistic, specific and peculiar view of biology and I do wonder if it’s part of the problem.

It is. I had a big long post rambling about the origins of it, but I was getting sidetracked. Suffice to say, it's the combination of platonism, the "belief" in science as a quasi-religious ideal that is reduced to a sort of technomantic magic, and post-modern deconstructionism, which come together into a conceptual framework that insists all things can be taken apart and rebuilt into their ideal forms.

Contemporary life is all about choice and modularity and undirected "self-improvement". We build modular constructs, play with modular toys and live in "modular" societies that we can re-arrange as we like. It's not a large leap to believe that the body can be modularised as well. After all, it's made of bits, so surely it can be taken apart and put together again in a new way.

Best Gifts for Your Transgender Loved Ones
From packers to pendants.

As this year comes to an end, we are left to consider the epidemic of violenceagainst transgender people. At least 22 transgender and non-binary people have been killed in the U.S. alone since November 2018. Trump and his administration have rolled back anti-discrimination rules designed to protect transgender people, leaving them vulnerable. While the state of affairs for transgender people seems dismal, that's not the full picture. Transgender people are still thriving, and that's what we're highlighting here — particularly those who are thriving economically by starting their own businesses. With the holidays fast approaching, we all know it's not only important to get our loved ones thoughtful gifts, but to spend our dollars thoughtfully, too.

We’ve curated a list of the best gifts for transgender people, made and sold by transgender people. Each of the items below is from a trans-owned and operated businesses to consider supporting this holiday season. Of course, these aren't only gifts for transgender people — support the trans community this year by getting each of the people on your list this year a gift from a trans-owned business. Whether you’re purchasing for a friend, a newly out co-worker, or the love of your life, there will certainly be a gift for all the people in your life.

The fashion line produces “masculine of center shoes," that run from very small sizes to larger, rejecting the limitations in sizing set by the shoe industry and based on gender. For the the bookworm(s) in your life.
Books By Trans Authors

Books by trans authors are on the rise, and there are a few that help to educate the reader, while also providing provocative and thoughtful insights of gender. Janet Mock’s memoir, Redefining Realness: My Path to Womanhood, Identity, Love, and So Much More is a raw and riveting coming-of age story centering her gender and later, her transition. Make sure to grab the tissue box; it is both heartbreaking and moving. In Amateur: A True Story about What Makes A Man, author Thomas Page McBeeexplores masculinity and its relation to violence as he trains to fight a charity boxing match at Madison Square Garden. Amateur is great for anyone hoping to dismantle their own toxic behaviors. Sissy: A Coming -Of -Gender Story by Jacob Tobia, is an excellent introductory book for trans issues. It is a humorous, enriches understanding of gender, and introduces the reader to a new perspective of the binary. All three books are excellent reads for the holiday break!
My favorite is ”for the guy whose dick keeps dropping in the toilet”

Time to lube up normies! You are without excuse.

These types of arguments will peak trans people more than anything. Imagine if gays and lesbians had made the argument that straight people should be willing to at least try to date a gay person or they are homophobic. They'd still be forcibly kept in the closet if that were the case. If a dude wants to dress like a woman and pretend he's a lesbian, okay. But nobody is going to guilt me into pretending to be a lesbian so he doesn't have to feel bad about his life choices.

And as a straight woman, I don't want to date a pretend man. If I want to have sex with a dildo, I can do that on my own. It would be an absolute horror to think of having sex with a franken penis. I'd even choose an incel over a gay relationship pretending to be a heterosexual one because I'm not actually gay. Or, I could just choose to be "self-partnered" ala Emma Watson.

A relationship with a troon is so far down the list that it only exists in the theoretical realm. It's not even a last resort. Because I'm pretty sure I would have reached suicide before I got to that option.
