I wouldn't hold my breath for the GMC to take action, against Harrop. This is an organisation that's started to claim racism is the cause for the high number of Black and Minority Ethnic (BAME) Doctors being referred to them.

Instead of defending the complaints process, and pointing out that in the majority of cases the BAME doctors in question, were from Nigeria and Pakistan, they just grabbed their ankles and bent over. Implying that the complainants were lying racists.

A number of sources are independently reporting that he’s going to be facing serious professional consequences in the New Year.

He’s made several Twitter threats about suing those who waste time putting in complaints to the GMC, but he’ll have to shell out for properly qualified legal advice and neither will his Troon mate Tony be allowed to officially represent him in any capacity should there be a tribunal.

Though Tony is facing woes enough of his own on multiple fronts as his lolsuitees are biting back and I don’t just mean the Terfs.

Apart from the Troonery, Harrop gives the impression he’s an inadequate and incompetent medic. He’s taken longer than usual to qualify, had to resit a bunch of exams and failed in his initial choice of becoming an anaesthetist.

Harrop has a problem in that as a GP he will have quite an extensive level of insurance. Which will make him a temptation for no win no fee solicitors.

Also as a GP I believe he would be in a Limited Liability Partnership with the other GP's in his practice, which might cause other issues for him.

Great to see this thread, he's by no means the most insane cow there is, but he is possibly the most dislikeable person I've ever observed online, im looking forward to seeing his fall from grace documented, although im not sure the GMC complaints will succeed, there's no way he'd be acting like he still is if he didn't know he was absolutely bulletproof.

According to the Queer Liverpool Podcast, the GMC have already investigated him, and according to Harrop they have dismissed his Twitter insanity because his views on Troons reflect GMC policy. Harry The Owl has stated that he has an outstanding case. Emails from the GMC I have seen indicate that they are aware of his twitter activities.
The problem is, the GMC is a closed shop trade union really, and are there to protect the interests of their members. “Guilds” like this will only contemplate serious sanction if a quack really fucks up criminally or negligently. As long as he can pull the Troon advocacy pass then the GMC will not really act. They obviously had words earlier in the year as he locked down his account and dropped the “Dr” from his handle and screen name.

There is one way that I think he is very vulnerable, and I take solace from Al Capone being done for tax evasion, is that he is massively overdrawn on the directors loan account. Essentially he has taken out most of the turnover in his company as a loan - ie totally ripped out all of the income which makes his company technically insolvent which is a criminal offence. It may also breach GMC rules on financial probity.

Harrop is vulnerable, but probably not from the GMC.
