John posted this on his channel the week after he was let go by his employer. I remember it pretty well because it squared up quite similarly to Phil's lost ma jahb rant. The key difference however being that Rambo sounded more relaxed (he always did to be fair) and slightly more magnanimous after this point when moving forward and taking the L in his stride. I don't specifically recall Rambo asking for donations but I do remember he did end up receiving financial support from (essentially Phil's) viewers in order to travel to Japan to compete in Super Battle Opera. The difference once again between the pair of them being that John like Phil probably saw the same possible avenue for profit that Phil was already well on his way to exploiting - and he chose not to go down that same road nor make any moves towards a life as a fulltime yootoober.
The more you examine the two of them side by side the more it feels like Rambo is just the version of Phil that made better life choices. He even got off the internet altogether as far as we can see while Phil has chained himself to it for the rest of his miserable life and can't even remember where he left the key to remove the shackles.

Didn't someone gifted him EA Access Premier for a whole year? As far as I know, NfS Heat is included in the subscription.
Edit: Nvm, the game is included on PC but not on console.

Like I’ve said a thousand times there’s no way this is a genuine troll or someone who doesn’t like Dark. It has to be one of his more negative or drama loving fans who’s trying to kill two birds with one stone. We all know a good chunk of his fanbase likes dark for his anger or rage, even they find the man boring as sin when he’s complacent or happy, a portion of his fanbase wait to see him rage at a game or go on detractor rants.
Or it’s a really really really exceptional troll, but I’m gonna choose to believe in the more simple answer of a fan who likes to support dark but also likes when he rages and is just trying to stir the pot himself.

It's hard for me to feel bad for Rambo. I don't know what line of work he was in that'd make it possible for his boss to fire him for appearing in videos in which he plays videogames alongside a mongoloid, but that's pretty fucked overall. And while what few videos I've seen that he's in Rambo himself makes some pretty blue jokes, the fact remains that he had to have known. Phil didn't turn into what he is on account of the fresh, healing Seattle air. He was calling Kojima a faggot and making jew-in-the-oven jokes when he was still recording on a video camera. Regardless of how you feel about humor like that, you don't stay friends with and hang out with someone who says shit like that unless you share it.
All that said, I'm glad he's among the people who broke with DSP in one form or another and escaped the Autism Vortex. By all appearances that's not easy to do.

Can't confirm but I swear I heard he was a realtor. Between the amount of public interaction and money involved in that field, I could see a manager (especially one who didn't understand internet culture) being paranoid about his/her firm being associated with those videos. It's also hard to buy into his "never used my real name or who I work for" defense when whatever sped shared it with his boss already figured both of those out.
It's also worth pointing out that realty's basically a sales job and local offices of big realtors (ReMax, Century21, Berkshire-Hathaway) might only have 10 or 15 realtors, so it's not like he was qualified for a backroom job or they could have given his customers to other agents without really increasing their workload.

It was probably not that hard. They were friends before DSP began his begacy and over the year he probably saw how DSP's greed and narcissism went to 11.
After moving to Seatle and only contacting Rambo when he needed to make money or complain about tractors, he quickly understood that the person he used to call his friend was gone and replaced with a vile, hatefull sludge.

I find it hilarious how Phil still holds a petty grudge against Final Fantasy 7 for being more popular than his beloved FF6. You can hear it whenever he talks about FF7, he is still fighting a 2000s era internet forum flamewar against the strawmen in his head over which of these two decades old games is superior.

30 minutes of overtime yesterday is pretty unusual. He could've just opted for a boomer segment for the last 15, but that OT makes me hella suspicious. Almost like he had nothing to look forward to after a long day of work™.
