The only time I think Anelise is interesting is when she's caught sending herself hate mail, soliciting others to do the same in private, or posting her own drama on r/illnessfakers. Here, she expects people to believe that she received and immediately saw this critical comment, formulated and typed out a long response with no typos, posted it, and took a screen shot, all within 14 seconds.

So, did she have the response typed up and ready to copy-paste as soon as she received the notification from a complicit friend? Send it with an alt then quickly switch accounts to paste a pre-written response? Use a comment generator like those ones that make fake iMessage SSs?

Gotta love a bunch of mean girls writing their own names in the Burn Book. They all do it; she's just the one incompetent enough to keep getting caught.

They don't have alters like its shown in any of these things. And the real way to treat it is to not go "oh Patty nice to see you wheres good ol'Jim today?" It's to treat them as one person and not give power to their ideas. They also don't magically become another person when asked to either....

Honestly you dont see the ones that act like these people unless they for one came from a therapist who pushed the notion of multiple idenities on them, or they saw what the media says they should be. For the most part yes they do react differently at times (like EVERYONE does in diferent situations) and they do have memory loss of events and react as someone with PTSD does. The important thing is not to let them live and act out that memory, but to orient them back into the current time.

i believe DID is real, but most of the people online who post so publicly about their "system" and all about their "alters" and their personality traits/ages/speshul genders are pretty much fakers looking for attention. there's a difference between simply posting about it for educational purposes and constantly posting on instagram stories like "my alter jamie has a breakdown!!! omg he cut my wrist!" like some of the bitches in this thread on their ig accounts lol. people with actual DID don't make it a huge spectacle and attention-grab like this. it really doesn't make you extra speshul to have DID, it's just another way the brain reasons with itself as a way to cope with trauma. it's really not much different from other mental disorders/illnesses
