Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

I know this is the Trump Derangement Syndrome thread but I wanted to crosspost from the Brexit thread a little Boris Derangement Syndrome.

This is from Sky News Australia, which if you're looking for insight into Aussie and Brit politics, I highly recommend.

This chick does not seem unhinged. Not unhinged at all. Not even a little bit unhinged. What would ever make you think she was unhinged?

Isn't it basically the same thing? From what I'd heard, he was basically being treated as one of Trump's horcruxes or whatever anyway.
Let us use a cryptid analogue instead of a harry potter reference

Imagine Drumpf as Bigfoot, and all the lore and mythology that entails; that is to say the most globally famous ape shaped cryptid that is the measuring stick all others get measured by, even if others might be older or significantly divergent.

In this scenario Boris would be like the Yeti. A very distinct entity with its own independently grown lore and mythology that was entirely separate from Bigfoot's own, yet had enough surface level similarities to become quickly regarded as simply a "different colour" Bigfoot once that cryptid became famous

Its a bit like how the Loch Ness monster wound up causing a bunch of other rumored sea monsters around the world to swiftly become seen as near identical in supposed shape and behavior, even if they were seen as completely different beforehand

I remember TFM on the Killstream arguing that they HAVE to do this because the welfare state would collapse with the current birthrates (either that or bite the bullet and perform massive cuts). In that view the Western world is being set up as a nursing home for the aging white race, and they don't like rowdy or ungrateful residents.

I doubt its some decades to centuries long vendetta against whitey by (((them))) (or insert your favored conspirator here) that came to fruition. It's probably an accumulation of band-aid fixes to the side-effects of things that seemed like a good idea at the time. Unless they truly wish to become third world slum lords in gated communities with heavily armed guards.
They plan to be fuedal lords waited on by robot serfs, and foriegn serfs in the meantime. It sickens me, but its only the latest version of this shit. Read up on Generalplan Ost. Germans actually thought larping as fuedal knights was a good idea. The working class is viewed as a temporary inconvience that can be solved and removed later on by the political elite, and every hollywood celebrity thinks their service will be rewarded with a seat at the gay space communist table.

As much as I like to roleplay against the Zionist menace, none of this shit is new.
Back in the 90s, the societal replacement in western Europe was poles and slavs - I mean, slavs aren't white, but you get the picture. In the US in the early 1900s it was Italians and Irish.
Melanin content is immaterial, what you want is a cheap labor force you can control.

There is a fair bit of trying to keep the wheels on the welfare state, but that is all secondary to ensuring your & your cronies are the elites.

And again, they already live in gate communities. They only difference is the walls will get higher and there will be more guards; but they won't notice.

Venezuela is melting down - people are starving, hospitals are out of medicine, the country has rolling nation-wide blackouts, the currency is worth less than paper its printed on to the point some shops have gone back to barter systems, and there is widespread kidnapping and gang violence.
In Brazil, the middle class neighborhoods all have bars on the windows. The poor live in crumbling tenaments where the police don't go unless they are conducting Iraq-type locked-and-loaded roll outs. Kidnap for ransom is wide spread with the police usually in on it. The people at the top were also siphoning billions to line their own pockets. And the less said about what they're doing to the Amazon the better.
The folks at the top don't have any of those issues. They've got fat bank accounts and send their children to college in Europe. None of these issues affect their elites directly. They live in safe, walled enclaves protected by men armed with the weapons they work to deny their citizens.

In the US, it would be a fairly easy matter to start leveling criminal charges against anyone who is found bypassing E-verify during hiring. Once people can't get jobs without proper papers, illegal immigration stops being an issue.
This never goes anywhere because too many businesses make too much money by hiring people without work authorization, because you can hire them for less, treat them worse, and if they are too big of an issue you turn them into ICE.

I disagree with this. I think the first step is to stop new illegal entries via the wall, then deport as many current illegal immigrants as possible and then crackdown on the employers hiring illegals.

It's for the same reason that there are ashtrays on airplanes even though you're not allowed to smoke. Because while it's still illegal, it's understood that some people will try anyway. So best that there is somewhere safe to dispose of the cigarette butts.

It's estimated that there are well over 20 million illegal immigrants in the United States. What happens when they can no longer get a "legal" job, even if they are here illegally? They willl still want to stay, so they're going to resort to completely off the book, unregulated jobs or crime. No one is gonna say, 'Well, I guess that means I better go back to Mexico now!'

I think it's best to first reduce the number of people who would resort to desperate measures before making them resort to desperate measures. Over 20 million people being unable to work an official job sounds less than ideal. A couple million I think we could handle. 20 million? I dunno about that.

We're nearing the point where we can coin it BDS, either boris derangement syndrome or brexit derangement syndrome.

But if you make them all resort to desperate measures now while Trump is in office, he can then justifiably resort to equally drastic measures in response, so he can finally become the Hitler both the right and left want him to be.

You forget a lot of that 20 million is people who can, but elect not to, return home. Actually plenty of them do return home for short visits but then come back. Once the checks stop coming, they go home and stay there.
And any roll out of threat-of-charge e-verify would take years to implement & enforce. You couldn't turn it on over night, and even if you could the court challenge alone would likely take a minimum of 5 years.

You're thinking of the wrong level of chaos.
Mexico gets almost 26 Billion dollars in remittances every year, all but 500 million of that is from the US. That is money sent back officially, that doesn't count Jose rolling back with the c-bill he made waiting at the home depot.

Mexico's economy is about 1 trillion. That means, optimistically, if Mexico's citizens are prevented from working in the US illegally, their economy loses about 3% of his value. To put that in perspective, that is how much the US economy fell post-2008 mortage bubble. Mexico would be straight fucked, and would probably crash further as collapses snowball; Mexico is also much less friendly for foreign investment, so there wouldn't be a quick savior bailout to recapitalize them. They aren't exactly stable on a good day, and that would likely cause uprisings; along with unemployed, it'd be a huge boost to the cartels.

I'm fine with construction crews getting filled out with coolies. I'm good with seasonal pickers. As long as everyone is documented properly.

Allow visas for it, and tax it slightly higher. The official wage from getting in legally will be MUCH higher than what they get illegally, so even with higher taxation they are getting paid better. This also means that the US gets paid for it, and paid for it at a premium for giving up the work to a foreigner who will send it back to their home country.

I like the way Israel handles foreign workers:
You get a tax penalty of something like 20% of your gross wages, which is held & refunded when you leave.

That is the beauty though. If you reform the illegal labor market, you force the legal labor market to adapt.

The shitlibs aren't wrong. The US needs access to low-skill labor; any top-level economy does. (China has North Korea and their prison & reeducation populations) But its next to impossible to legally go the low-skill route (except for season shit) because of all the fucking illegals cutting the line and making life worse for everyone.
Fixing the system makes life better for everyone except for the people profiting from being able to abuse & underpay their labor. But that's who has the ability to buy senators, so again: the broken system continues because it benefits the elites who see zero downsides to its exsistance and expansion.

Isn't the point of hiring illegals so they're working off the books and don't require following regulations?

Nahh, fuck seasonal pickers. That always took work away from locals. They must go back.

The US needs access to low-skill labor
Fuck importing workers employers can abuse just so we don't have to pay actual citizens a decent wage. There is plenty of low-skilled labor in the US.

So let me get this straight... you want millions of people without the protections of being citizens to toil in the fields to pick crops for wages Americans wouldn't, all so you can have access to cheaper goods.

What you're suggesting is unprecedented in the history of the United States! /sneed
