Skywalker would likely just get technical awards if it were nominated for the Oscars.

Smarter, wiser leaders would certainly do that. They wouldn't allow their egos get in the way of admitting a mistake. But we don't in a better world. We live in one where Disney owns Star Wars and Bob Iger is the CEO. I think we really should take a step back and admire what a historical situation we're in. I know it might not seem like it but I really do believe they're going to be writing about this for years to come. I can see plenty of people trying to monetize this entire shitshow. Besides the ones who're already doing so.
