1. Why is DSP acting so nonchalantly towards these devastating news? Is he aware of the lawsuit and simply doesn’t care? Has he already addressed it with the bank and has resolved it (for now)? Or is he that lazy that he hasn't checked his mailbox and hasn’t seen the letter yet and thinks this is detractor bullshit? Remember this is the guy who didn’t know his ex-girlfriend posted a fake engagement ring on her twitter so it could very well be ignorance.
My guess is that he's keeping himself ignorant to avoid dealing with it. Just hoping that it will work itself out and focusing on the future. We know he's especially terrible at planning long term so I bet he does this a lot. I think that's why he's been extra salty in some of his streams lately, his stress is bubbling out because he knows this is out there but he chooses to neglect it.

I speculated, and was more or less criticized for doing so, that Phil intentionally cooked his desktop icons with the intention of 'accidentally' flashing it on stream, knowing that spergs would analyze every single icon and speculate. I would not put it past Phil to create a folder said 'massive debt forms i swear i'm not making this up' , stuff some blank word docs in there, then accidentally flash his desktop. People on here thought this was too much of a big brain move for Phil, I think it's right up his alley: low effort and high satisfaction.

He also had some shit called Kat's Paystubs or something. Again, he can put any folder on his desktop and call it anything and he knows he'll have dozens of people crunching theories. It's probably satisfying to him, in a way.

You're talking about a guy who back in the day flashed Leannas possibly jail bait ludes.
Phil is simply untidy and lazy.

The debt occured on property purchased before the marriage, she isn't liable in the slightest.
But does her income, if any, apply to the household? Not sure myself how that would work. Say if the situation was partner A had 100k in debt but only made 20k a year and partner B made a million a year, would a bank be able to claim partner A would reasonably have access to enough funds from B to pay off a debt? If so, Kat's income could matter. But like I said I have no idea.

Phil is a savvy grifter, but he ain't THAT smart. He isn't about to troll and leave breadcrumbs on his desktop like that just to fuck with his detractors. He's just a boomer that leaves everything on his desktop in the order that it's generated. Hardship letter template he edited to put his info in... Khet's pay stubs (to prove the limited extra income... Not that it should matter to someone pulling 100k out of wheelchairs)... Phil had no sense of organization and overlooks how certain autists will zoom in and scan every pixel for shit he leaves out in the open. And, with those autists doing their thing, THAT gives him ammo to take shots at da detractors and call them morons for taking a nugget of truth and stretch it into some fully fledged theory.

Remember: we're talking about a guy who tried to eat cup noodles with a spoon. What makes anyone think he'd have the mental fortitude to leave Easter eggs for us nudniks to discuss on purpose?

phil has absolutely no foresight. phil can't install games before the stream and installs them during the fucking prestream

I boil my cup noodles them pour them out into a bowl and eat them + broth ....
with a spoon

I am a massive faggot and I don't understand this meme. Do people scoop them into their mouths with a fork then chug the broth?

No, in the state of Washington all debt earned before marriage does not get transferred to the spouse. If you want to do some fun legal reading, a couple pages back is the link to Washington laws covering it.

i do occasionally also eat mine with a spoon under specific conditions, they're crushed up in a real bowl,
phil did it with cup noodles, they weren't broken up, cut up or shorter in any way he just tried scooping long strands of noodle with a spoon

Yes. A spouse's income does get disclosed during a bankruptcy even if none of their debt is being discharged. It gets included in the means test under Chapter 7 and the calculation of your disposable income under Chapter 13. The first part doesn't matter since DSP's income is already too high to pass the Chapter 7 means test. The second part will be a pain in the ass but there is a way to reduce its impact.

The idea is that it isn't in the interest of justice for her income to be included in the resources he has to pay creditors with — if she is spending it on expenses that are have nothing to do with him. Too bad DSP is with 99% certainty paying all of her bills. Her gym membership, her phone bill, her medical bills, credit cards in her name, student loans, etc could be deducted from her income before it's lumped in with his for bankruptcy calculations.

I thought all debt accrued before marriage is solely the responsibility of the person who accrued it in the state of Washington? Unless maybe he refinanced while they were married?

Only people with the proper number of chromosomes.

She's not obligated to pay it, but he is obligated to use all the resources he has to pay it. It's a nuance. That includes all of his household's income. If they want they can live separately, but not divorce, and her income won't get counted.

Given it's food made by the Japanese you're supposed to eat it with chopsticks and then yes, drink the broth. That's how ramen is eaten in Japan. I suppose a fork would work, but good luck getting long curly noodles to work with a spoon. It shouldn't come as a surprise that two long sticks are pretty good at wrapping up and delivering noodles to a food hole.

Does that mean that if Midland can only sell the property for $50k, then DSP is still liable for the remainder?

I think dave will still owe taxes on the property that probably went unpaid while in his possession, condo association fees, court costs

I can't imagine he was paying property tax and condo fees but not the mortgage

I wonder if anything will happen to his "business"

I also break up the noodles (I'm extra poor, so I don't spring for the cup noodles variety... I get the regular 18¢ ramens and go from there...), and will use a spoon. When used that way, it's like an actual soup, and not a big-ass block of noodles in a Styrofoam cup.

But, our politalian schmuck chooses to eat his noodles out of a cup with a spoon.

If he wasnt paying his property taxes the state can take his property and sell it to pay back taxes. Connecticut doesnt fuck around. Now who gets his condo? The state or the bank? If he owes like 5 - 10 grand in back taxes and the state unloads it for 20k does that mean he owes 80k to the bank or would he still need to pay the full price?
