No bullshit here: I honestly don't hate them. I think they're incompetent and they clearly don't need to be involved in this franchise anyone but I can't bring myself to hate them. I also think this might be due to the fact that unlike some of you I went through a similar experience back in the early/middle 90's with another franchise and even though I love Star Wars (no shitting here, it's always been a part of my life) I'm just chilling over this.

For me, it was what DC comics did back in the 90's with the Green Lantern franchise that immunized myself from getting angry over all of this.

Also a random aside: It's kinda 'sad' to see how far Pablo's fallen. I remember him being a nice guy back in the 90's from when he was a member of the SW RPG e-mail mailing list.

It was his decision to come back and do the third movie, and it was his decision not to speak out beforehand against episode 8 (whether during production or after the movie came out) so as to apply pressure to KK and RJ to not deviate from his "supposed outline". Lucas wrote treatments, most likely slapped together(from the EU, and his old ideas). Then it was handed to Micheal Ardnt. He took Lucas's ideas and deviated. But, Lucas gave him the thumbs up. Lucas didn't have a story anyways, but Ardnt's take was good for him...

Ardnt wrote the original script to 7, outlines to 8 and 9. He was in the process of writing 8 when JJ came on board.

JJ stonewalled Ardnt(by extension Lucas), so he could get full credit(with KK/Iger approval).

JJ(and Kasdan) then rewrite Ardnt's script by injecting their shittier ideas. He takes Ardnt's outlines and injects his shittier ideas(takes credit)...

Johnson comes in: goes off tangent. But, I would guess not completely. It's more likely he dumped certain setups from JJ...

Yeah, I don't get the sympathy for JJ Abrams. He made plenty of fuckups in The Force Awakens. I hate Rian Johnson as much as the next person, but JJ was the one who turned Rey into a Mary Sue, turned Han into a character that betrayed his own character arc from the Original Trilogy, and created yet another Death Star.

Plus, Abrams is the biggest hack working in the entertainment business today. If he had directed all three films, I guarantee we'd still be getting really frustrating and dumb as hell results.

She sounds like my local Church group. They're good people and I don't dislike them, really I don't, they're a friendly bunch, but honestly, the way they speak of Disney and Disney Wars as somehow being divine revelation is nothing short of disturbing and almost heretical since its almost like they consider Disney and God one and the same at times, much like a lot of the secular Disney drones on Twitter. What’s working in Sonic’s favor that has it over a huge advantage over IX is the filmmakers and the studio admitted to fuck up and made corrections to not lose the fans. For that, they should be rewarded at the box office.
