Man, you'd think these soylents know some canned responses to throw out; while finding out the truth on their end, behind the scenes, instead of flaming the reporting party. No wonder twitch is going down.

And generate a documented, public paper trail that someone could follow up on later, and use as evidence that Twitch doesn't give a fuck what its users do so long as they're profitable and/or sexy? Nah fam, they're way too slippery and crafty for that shit. That's corporate responsibility 101; kick the can over to some faceless department with a single phone that rings and rings, day in and day out, and no one bothers to answer it because no one is held accountable.

This is, again and at the risk of sounding like a broken record, what happens when there's insufficient competition in a field. Twitch would be bending over backwards to keep their name out of the dirt if there were a dozen other viable platforms for people to jump to, but there aren't, so they're free to pull shit like this, and they know it.

While this has been spoken about before, jerking off a dead cow I'm aware, I don't remember it ever being so cleary put by Phil. So instead of spreading shitty memes, try spreading something that can lead somewhere.

I posted a compilation of DSP doing exactly this, back in July:

I just watched that part and I fully agree: that was absolutely disgraceful.

And to be honest, I still have a problem with the way he's doing this Minecraft auction thing with both bits and dollars vs. the rules set by Twitch... I mean, people in his chat are openly discussing how many dollars need to be donated to beat a certain amount of bits and DSP blatantly compares bits to money on multiple occasions.

For archival purposes, here's a small montage of DSP basically giving the "exchange rate" of bits <=> dollars:

And here are some examples of his chat discussing and questioning the value of bits vs. dollars:

Surely this is not what Twitch had in mind when they introduced bits with a rule that says "bits are not a money instrument"? And I know that some of the chat messages above may very well be from possible detractors trying to stir shit, but that's not the point here: in the end, DSP is responsible for not instigating conversation on his channel that is against Twitch' terms of service.

Oh, and I'm not sure if ThatAnonyMouse was being ironic or not, but it looked he was trying to make it seem like DSP was upholding the rules regarding bits:

Especially that last question is a very good one, because indeed: how can you actually determine the top contributor between cheers and tips when bits aren't money? How does that work? What formula does DSP use to solve this complex math problem? 🤔

Well, offering the "service" (giving a name to something in Minecraft) in and of itself isn't the problem; according to Twitch' rules it's perfectly fine to "reward" a viewer that way for cheering. Though when you start organizing auctions between tippers and cheerers where only one of those can win, you're setting yourself up for possible violations of the terms.

@We Are The Witches then spoke to a former Twitch employee, who said a streamer stating that a 1301-bit cheer beats a $13 tip is no problem at all:

Like I told @Comma , I know someone who was a Twitch Admin/employee, and asked about their opinion regarding a couple of things. They did give me permission to post the conversation, but I will not post their name. However since these types of things are extremely easily falsifiable, I could speak with a supervisor, like @Haunter , about it if necessary.

I also remind that this is just the opinion of an employee, which doesn't really mean that others will think alike, or if Twitch enforces its rules like this, so it's not definitive. Either way, this was the conversation:

Honestly, you'd probably kick up a bigger shit storm by making public the responses of their staff to an interested party, but that only works if the complaint is cordial.

Imagine Gundam making a video about the unprofessionalism of Twitch staff when responding to users compared to just shitposting about e-thots. You'd probably get the same kind of response by Twitch (none), but it'd be interesting, imo.

I think y'all try to understand people who donate to him way too much.

Yeah, some people enjoy him for whatever reason and want to support him, some people pity him and want to help him out (whether or not they believe his lies), but a lot of people just give him money because they don't want him to go away: it's entertainment to them.

Just because people might be troll tipping, trying to bait, or whatever, that doesn't mean they want him to disappear. Hell, even on here, in detractor circles, wherever else, people don't unanimously want to see him go away. They just want their entertainment and they get their kicks out of trying to trigger him. If it's worth $30 bucks a month to them, then so be it. I'm sure you spend money on shit that other people would call you stupid for. It is what it is.

He isn't going away if nobody tips at all, what other job is he going to do that is this easy and pays this much. Subs and ad-revenue alone is paying him more than he will ever get doing anything else.

Since some people still message Hassan Bokhari the Partner Manager at Twitch, you can use this clip and ask why he's yet to take action, or where one can report to a person and not a bot.

Source [ Here ] at 34:29, clip is from DEC 16, 2019.

In this clip Phil very clearly breaks TOS by even flat out admitting to hold bidding wars where you compete with TIPS ( Real money ) and BITS ( Made up money ).

To quote Twitch TOS found [ Here ].

Now Nigel, you know I have no beef with you, but in all due respect in this clip, I disagree with your statement he clearly breaks TOS due to the distinction he says, "You're not the top contributor." He explained why it's a duplicate request and then explained the contribution wasn't big enough to supersede the biggest contributor's request. This is consistent with his previous explanations why minecraft contribution totals can direct the gameplay in the future. How that runs aground of the TOS, or not, I'm not really concerned about personally, but just saying it's another example that Phil would say is being taken out of context during a rant next year to cover his stream base when rationalizing it in explanation.

It's exactly these kind of people that shouldn't message anyone. If you want to achieve anything you might want to at the very fucking least put some effort into it, be polite and don't send messages like some utter sperg.

Good point.

Or, y'know, he could run the sim on his copy of wwe 2019... It's not like anyone who likes his rêtarded wrestling sim event would care which version he plays.

I just checked his Twitter to see if anyone had suggested that to him and what his non-reason would be for not doing it (he already deleted it dood, all the custom wrestlers are gone and it's too much work to get them back.)

When did DSP announce that he was playing Final Fantasy 6? How many games is he playing simultaneously right now? We're up to like 25 different games in the last two months.

Not sure if you're disagreeing with me, but that was sort of my point. It doesn't really matter how much you berate people who try to get a rise out of him with troll tips, he has enough of an autistic fanbase to support him. The only thing that could conceivably 'end' DSP, is him getting removed from every available platform, or getting outcast to one where he just doesn't make enough to support himself.

How would reinstalling WWE 2019 be any more work than having to install 5 new games for his Christmas marathon?

How would uploading characters to WWE 2019 be any more work than uploading characters to WWE 2k10?

I don't care about the stupid wrestling. The point is look at this guy. He has a problem "WWE 2k10 is broken". People give him the solution to the problem "play WWE 2019". Phil says that is too hard and does nothing.

"I'm losing money on my condo"
"Rent it out"
"Nah too hard"

"I can't see my television"
"Rearrange your office"
"Nah too hard"

"I have no money"
"Get a job"
"Nah too hard"

"This game is multiplayer only"
"Then find someone to play with"
"Nah too hard"

"The cat box is stinky"
"Scoop out the poop"
"Nah too hard"

all the custom wrestlers are gone and it's too much work to get them back
Are these just not retained as a save file? He pays, pointlessly I might add, for PlayStation Plus. Why can't he just retrieve the save from the cloud? How hard would that be?

Have you seen him do literally anything? It would be too hard.
Not only that, but it wouldn't work for him anyway. All those mundane things that literally work for literally everyone else? Fuck if Phil can make them work, it's all way too complicated for him to manage. If he was the first of Pavlov's dogs, he would have starved to death because pushing a button is beyond his capacity.

No need for visual confirmation, he admitted how inept he is with his "I walk around the house or mall once a week for all my exercise needs" and his "I had to use a handcart to move Khet's PC in the house."

Nigga, even if she had one of those 50lb. cases with the carrying handles, it's 50 fucking pounds and you're not even 40 yet.

Phil was too lazy to set up the wrestling so he says people in his social media say the stuff he was going to do doesn't work. Classic Phil, justifying his executive decisions by acting like he's agreeing with a widespread consensus that he just makes up from nowhere. He'll be on the next prestream selling this with "Uh, nobody was watching that game when I played it anyway, you guys didn't even want to see it, right? Of course you didn't! It was broken garbage! Very low interaction on all those streams, so... There you go."

50 pounds is kinda tough but that being said i also lost my right forearm and left bi and tri from an rpg in 2010 but i could still lift way more than that, dsp is a pathetic joke he had to hire someone to install window blinds
