This is why I can't discount all of what Doomcock said. The majority of his stuff dealt with reshoots that went terribly, so its hard to say if it never existed or if it existed and was ripped out of the designed-by-comittee movie.
Can you all imagine if every leak was true? Even the time anus/time travel shit (which had concept art to back it up)? This movie was a true clusterfuck right from the get go. And all the leaks were fucking right. What does that tell you about the production or company loyalty? This is just downright embarrassing.
Wasn't Wedge supposed to be in this travesty, has anyone revealed how they disgrace and defile his character in this? Is he trans now? Is he married to General Madine, this could be the BLT representation in the film.
From what I understand, he's just a pointless cameo character who amounts to nothing other than nostalgia points, because that's all Jar Jar Abrams knows what to do with classic characters.
What bothers me about how they handled Rey's heritage was not just her taking the Skywalker name despite not deserving it, but the fact that I can't help but think that Jar Jar Abrams did this because he attempted to please as many different Rey origin camps in the fanbase as possible.
Think about it, these idiots thought that by making Rey Palpatine's grandaughter with no name parents who eventually takes on the Skywalker name, they thought that it would please all the people in the Rey Skywalker, Rey Palpatine, and Rey the Nobody camps. But instead all it did was piss off everybody because of what you said in the bolded text. How they went about making her origin a mystery is a complete and utter mess.
Can you imagine if the only reason they didn't make her a true Skywalker was because they simply wanted Reylo be a thing without it being incest? Yet what these idiots fail to realize is that the awful Disney Wars comics already made it so Palpatine is Anakin's daddy, therefore Rey is Anakin's niece, and now his niece and his grandson have the hots for each other and are now astral fucking. And people actually thought Disney's new canon would lead to a more consistent and cohesive narrative, yet its actually more messed up and bloated than ever before with absolutely no communication going on between any content creators. What a fucking mess.
And in regards to Skywalkers-Palpatines, like I said before, King Charles II of Spain would have a field day with this family tree. Heck I wouldn't be surprised if Rey and Kylo's incest baby ends up looking like poor King Charley over here.
