It's not so much the number they get but rather what numbers they don't seem to get - if that makes any sense. Critics shower this movie with mediocre results and I assume they are even being generous while doing this. The movie is a flop, we knew that, but even critics don't mitigate the movie. I was expecting full 90% fresh rating out the gates, but reviews aren't like that. The movie is hovering just under the 60% margin as of now.

Might it be Disney is not shelling out money to shills to defend this turd?
The score is pretty useless to check a movie's quality, but it is a decent measurement to look how far a company is to go to support their product. And I don't see much support in form of paid shills as of now and that really fucking surprises me.

It's not so much that it's a cashgrab, it's more that it's a really badly made, thinly veiled, ineptly executed cashgrab that fails to be the least bit entertaining if you're actually trying to enjoy the movie itself rather than the carnage surrounding it.

Daisy Ridley's acting makes it almost impossible to tell that she's supposed to be dead, tbh. Her acting is so wooden, she might as well be a plank of wood.
Also, looks like Maz Kanata is back, and she acts as nurse for Leia, when she dies and vanishes (so, she's a Jedi master after all)

I love that they say "Takes great pains to retcon nearly everything that happened in The Last Jedi" is somehow a bad thing. TLJ left them nowhere to go, so the only direction they could take was straight down beyond rock bottom and into the Earth's core.
