You forgot Picard.The Adama Maneuver
>Drop a multi million tonne battlestar into low orbit after distracting the enemy fleet that outnumbers and outguns you with false DRADIS readings. Launch all vipers in atmosphere to secure air superiority against Cylon ground forces then jump JUST before you hit the fucking ground. Use air superiority to cover Colonial evacuation of New Caprica while using the damaged Galactica to engage returning Cylon fleet and allow Colonial Fleet to escape.
The Keyes Maneuver
>Charge full speed at Covenant fleet that outnumbers and outguns you. Launch nuclear warhead in opposite direction. Covenant fleet launches plasma torpedoes in retaliation. Dodge plasma torpedoes with maneuvering thrusters and graze enemy cruiser. Plasma torpedoes that have altered course to track you destroy Covenant warship since they cannot course correct in time. Use momentum from first attack to slingshot around planet. Bait enemy frigates into range of previously launched nuke. Detonate nuke. Clean up heavily damaged frigates with MAC rounds.
The Holdo Maneuver
>allahu snackbar with hyperdrive, breaking all previously established rules for the use of hyperdrive travel.
One of these things is not like the other.

Old pic, but I didn't see anybody else make this comparison when it was fresh.
I've never understood the reasoning behind this. Everyone says this is the cinematic high point of the star wars franchise even though it features the least amount of war in the OT and the whole concept of our heroes spending the whole movie getting shit luck and being hunted doesn't seem like the most unique narrative. Furthermore, it's where the series started delving into having its own goofy language and mannerisms that would end up getting brought up for fanservice in later installments (nerf herder for example). I guarantee if it came it in the current year you would have a multitude of Nostalgia Critic knockoffs doing YouTube videos on why "I am your father" was cringe.
Either I'm missing the point entirely or I'm too much of a casual to grasp filmmaking nuance.
Mmmmmnope, still just see Arin Hanson.

It's subversive, but back when that meant something: it had one of the biggest twists in pop culture cinema. It also introduced us to Hoth, Lando & Cloud City, Yoda & Dagobah, and Boba Fett and a cadre of interesting-looking bounty hunters.
All that being said, the original Star Wars is still my all-time favorite, with Return of the Jedi being a satisfying (albeit samey and silly at times) conclusion to the trilogy. Empire served as a very strong, memorable bridge between the two, and despite all the ways it (and George's life) could've been better, the trilogy is still a wonderful achievement.

I've never understood why Empire is considered the best either.
I can see why it would have been mind blowing in 1980 after waiting 3 years for a continuation of the story, but since I didn't have as long of a wait between movies it's just the middle chapter of a larger story to me, it's good, but not my favorite.
As a reverse to that, I can see why Jedi may have been a bit disappointing to people after waiting another 3 years, but since I saw all 3 movies close together and they are all basically intended as just one big story, they work brilliantly together as a whole.
I was never really into Star Trek. The only series I watched was DS9.You forgot Picard.
Honestly, I think AoT got better over time. Don't get me wrong, it became absurd nonsense, but it's fun absurd nonsense.Imagine having a more plot hole ridden mess than hiatus x rubber nen and jojos bizarre aspull![]()
But heres a better question for the animefags, which is worse story wise: the soy wars or AoT?

Oh okay, well Picard had his own maneuver IIRC. Something about using Warp speed to make Shadow Clone Jutsus.I was never really into Star Trek. The only series I watched was DS9.
Ya it’s that oneEither I'm missing the point entirely
Any torrents or mega uploads of this train wreck? I check PirateBay and it is down. Feel free to PM (not interested in your personal porn stash).
We haven't gotten the ending of AoT yet though, let the train wreck explode before giving that judgement because we all know something stupid is gonna happen to prevent Erin from going Titan Hitler on the...Totally Not Nazi country.Honestly, I think AoT got better over time. Don't get me wrong, it became absurd nonsense, but it's fun absurd nonsense.

I thought that was pinching green alien booty? There was also the Kirk Maneuver, although I think it was just called cheating on the test.
I really doubt that Hollywood would dispose of the single most guaranteed money franchise just because someone made a caricature of them.@GeneralFriendliness So someone earlier on today mentioned a Lucasfilm Insider (or a friend of one) whom apparently had actual details on why they are pushing feminism so hard in Star Wars as of late. Here is the screencap.
Do you happen to have a screencap or a link to the post this guy is referring to? I really want to see it myself.
