I've prepped dinner for tomorrow night. Wine braised brisket, fondant potatoes, asparagus, yams, salad.
The potatoes are sliced and soaking to remove the starch. The brisket has been braised and is soaking up a lovely port reduction infused with beef broth, red onion, and thyme.
Hope that helps distract you from your unhappy thoughts.

Yeah. My silly drunkposting aside, I think that the effect of JY being hired by a subcontractor working PNE events is going to result in a major chill of that particular gig industry in Vancouver. These subcontractors often sub-sub contract to even smaller business who have a short list of 'agents' they contact and offer gigs when available.
Until now there hasn't been much need to monitor who works on these jobs by the main subcontractor, and 'bad employees' are usually limited in scope of their crimes (showing up drunk, not showing up, fighting with a member of the public, etc) and word of mouth was enough to get these people frozen out and not hired again.
With one of Vancouver's instiutions, the Pacific National Exhibition getting spammed by people saying they are cancelling trips because of a subcontractor hiring a known pervert, from now on there is going to be:
#1 a shortage of outsourced projects: Anything that PNE staff can do in house they will do instead of farming it out.
#2 a demand for subcontractors to carefully vet their prosepective agents before hiring them, and placing full accountability onto the subcontractor should anything bad happen from someone in their employ.
#3 a shortage of decent agents for this type of work, no one likes to be asked to consent to a background check for a $15-$20/hr (at best) job.
Way to shit it up for everyone in your 'industry' over Christmas, Jonnyboy, you sick fuck!
