Jonathan Yaniv / Jessica Yaniv / @trustednerd / trustednerd.com / JY Knows It / JY British Columbia - Canada's Best Argument Against Transgender Self-Identification

Is this a job where they try to get people to answer survey questions? Because if JY approached me -- a large, smelly dude with fried hair and makeup talking like a valley girl -- I'd run away. No way would I agree to spend any time talking to him. Plus, he's likely to only try to get young girls to participate.

I guess if they are so desperate that they just need warm bodies, it would make sense. But it seems like a waste of payroll for a lump of degeneracy like JY. You'd be better off being understaffed.
Canadians without heavy internet activity will assume he's exceptional. That's more important than most realize. For about 35-40 years, we've had virtually no state run institutions for the mentally incapable. They live in community group homes wherever possible. And the government has a WIDE view of "possible".

It is common in nice neighbourhoods to have at least one group home nearby. It is common, as a teenage girl, to be told you have to be polite to the lewd retarded males who approach you, because they are harmless pity cases. It is true, they don't usually physically attack. These events don't make the news, because they aren't reported. Girls in nice neighbourhoods don't make a big deal about poor retards grabbing them or demanding they make babies together.

It is common in Canada to have been assigned as a "helper" for a retarded child who was mainstreamed into a classroom. The more mature and responsible the girl (less often a boy, they make the boys welcome exceptional folk onto sports teams as sort of mascots or custodians), the more ridiculous the assignment. Like a preteen girl can actually serve as an assistant to a seriously mentally disabled child. Sometimes the partner child is rewarded with being picked at, punched, shoved around, or just the joy of sharing the spotlight of the outbursts. We teach Canadians very carefully how to treat the disabled. There are absolutely no negative consequences to this. No bitterness at all in people who were unfortunately saddled with caretaking and forced to accept sometimes criminal behaviour...for kindness.

All this to say, if that large smelly idiot approached you in Canada, you wouldn't run away. You would smile and speak slowly and clearly, and think it's just great that this employer is giving special people like Jess a chance. And thank your lucky stars he didn't grope you or make a scene.

This whole social system is why Lindsay sheperd gets so much shit over picking on Jess. Your average middle class Canadian thinks LS is violating the sacred system of pretending retards are harmless, special and always valued members of our communities.

It's admirable to want to treat exceptional people with kindness. I draw the line, however, at behavior that triggers the warning bells for me. I was taught politeness is more important than your own feelings as a child and it led to some terrible consequences on occasion. I refuse to teach that to my kids. I think you have a right to be rude (not mean -- but firm to the point of rudeness) if anyone makes you feel uncomfortable. It's fine if politeness is the default but people should never be pressured into putting themselves at risk to spare the feelings of others.

I refuse to do it too, but honest to God, other Canadians get offended. You definitely can't talk about it, widely.

For our viewing enjoyment, @Rose of Dawn's The Year In Trans-Stupid 2019:

In the comments, jammo2000 says they may have been in a special needs division camp with Yaniv when they were kids. It was the Camp Eureka section of Camp Elphinstone.

Weird angle to take for the new Friday the 13th movie but I'm spooked already.

I hope he gets fired because of her and then blows a gasket on twitter. He's not a good look for the PNE.

Agree, but the PNE will hire anybody. During the fair the staff is a combination of sketchy travelling carnies and eleventh-graders from East Van and North Burnaby. Yaniv might have some entertaining interactions with the former, but the latter are probably too old for Yaniv’s tastes.

Well at least he went with a zoomed in face shot rather than a full body photo like Blaire
This is a tad late, but I'm dying laughing because this fool has his fucking life-alert necklace on for this brave and stunning photo

I don't know where you live in Canada but your take is fucked. Please speak for yourself because basically everything you've said is bullshit.
