Guys, I finally have proof of the Mandela effect!

January 9th, 2014. In this alternate reality Phil is definitely going to sell his condo before 2015. He even is willing to take a loss and dip into his saving to pay the difference he owes on the mortgage.

Somehow there was a rip in time-space and we ended up here where Phil never sold the condo and owes $101k.

If DSP was renting out the CT condo he could classify literally everything in it as a business expense and write it off on his taxes. Right now he can only write off the mortgage interest because it's considered a personal expense. He didn’t want a business tax that’s why he moved to WA it was too late by the time someone basically fucked with his tax exemptions by signing him up to a bunch of business junk he was probably already deep in a hole of debt.

He can’t even afford the 70 bucks or however much it is to sell on amazon to junk his statues on someone else lol The payment plan he’s on probably included penalties on a business license he didn’t have. He can’t expand until he’s paid that off either.

There weren't any exemptions involved. He just didn't think he had to pay any personal income tax to the state and was correct; businesses still have to pay income tax to the state including unincorporated ones like sole proprietorships and partnerships.

The payment plan he’s on probably included penalties on a business license he didn’t have.

He appears to have paid all tax liability, interest, and penalties to the state at once early last year. He doesn't need a license, just to register his business with the taxing agency as a taxpayer.

He can’t expand until he’s paid that off either.

I don't know what expand means or how not paying taxes to the state would prevent him from doing it, but he's probably paid his taxes to the state on time since he was told he had to pay.

He has mentioned a few times when people ask about the CT place and it always boils down to not making a profit on it.

He wants to be able to break even or make money on it, thats why he has an entire room filled up with plastic garbage that he wont get rid of because he can't sell something he spent 150$ back in 2012 for 30 bucks.

My preferred ending to this saga is that Dave's parents lend him enough money to make the immediate situation go away.... but then treat it like a real loan. Reporting to credit bureaus every time he's late on a payment, sending debt collectors if he tries to skip out, the works.
