Probably because they fear/don't want to deal with copious amounts of tweets from angry Grumps fans whiteknighting for their golden boy. (and who could blame them - seeing as Arin either pretends his fans aren't attacking critics or - even worse - supports it by remaining silent).

I've been following the newgrounds boys and a few other artist on twitter for a while and you'd be surprised how many of them make jabs at the fans of thier once so called friend. The one tweet I keep seeing from people that makes me grin like a mook is " I'm glad I was never into Game Grumps".

More calling it a “company.” Fuck is that getting old. Grump is 100% not a company in any way others than one of the many definitions being “a group of people.” It’s a large YouTube channel that produces a single show. That isn’t a company or even a business.

What in particular caused the Game Grumps to attract such a exceptional fanbase. I personally never found them funny but from what I've seen of the so called "glory days" of Jon and even for a good while after that their humor seemed like it'd be enjoyed primarily by edgy preteen boys rather then faggy teenage girls and spergs.

I honestly think it's a mix of both, you have the mentality perpetually fourteen adults (Mainly Reddit users) who are constantly ready for a Tard Crusade at Arins call, because GG can do no wrong. The ACTUAL fourteen year olds who almost seem indoctrinated into this weird submissive subculture of two grown men gender swapping/ in promiscuous hypothetical situations (which i cant WAIT for the day some huge scandal involving the younger "Lovelies" surfaces, Because we all know it's bound to happen). I believe we can blame this mainly on Arin due to a PLETHORA of issues (like playing the victim during any adversity, or his sheer incompetence at running a Youtube channel or managing herding his insane community), but that's a much larger case study for another day. Sorry for posting another essay, but this shit is really interesting.

Looking at the comments of that thread is a little reassuring, though. More than a handful of comments discuss about how Arin is more frustrating than funny when it comes to his rage moments (that are derived from his own machination) and how the humor - in general - just isn't there.

And it's an ambiguity they deliberately encourage, as well; they want the cred of a company while being able to retreat to 'just two guys on a couch' when convenient. Rooster Teeth is another example, though that has more clearly leapt the 'company' line while these groups lean more 'casual'

Can only theorize, but something tells me Arin isn't the kind of guy who fires people; and even if it comes down to a "We have to go our separate ways," (like John "1488" Jafari) I bet he does everything he can to not have it come out as him dropping the hammer. I was never a SA goon, but something I learned from Rich's recent drama is how one of the women who was in his life says he hates confrontation; if anything requires a decision, he'd sooner roll over than take a stand. Since he seems to surround himself with friends (never do business with friends), he doesn't want to come off as a dick; so put those two things together and you have a massively overstaffed YouTube channel with countless merchandisers, and a CEO (because that's what he is, whether he wants to admit it or not) who doesn't want to make those hard CEO decisions.

We also have NotBlarg, someone we've talked about at length in this thread, finally posting his "Game Grumps 2019 Summary" to the subreddit (also split into two parts). Most of the information on there has already been properly archive here, but it makes for a nice checklist to detail all of Grumps' fuck-ups over the past year. ...If you can get past the formatting, at least.
