You know what's funny? Triangles were used by the group within GGRevolt that Kelly was a part of. I wonder who it was that suggested that they use a triangle to identify group members?

Gator's confirmed Ralph is interested in the story. I haven't heard form him, though, and I doubt he'd contact me at all. We'll see what he says in any case. he could blow things out of proportion like he did with the Cog thing, or he might stick to the actual material.

* The End of Gawker, which its employees blamed GG for more than Hulk Hogan.

* Anita Sarkeesian and Zoe Quinn going before the UN with their now-notorious Cyber-Violence Against Women and Girls report, effecitvely demanding the internet be censored because people had the ability to point out when they were lying. The report itself, which unironically quotes Lyndon Fucking Larouche, is such a clusterfuck of bad sourcing and bad data that it cites hard drive locations and connects to multiple websites which do not exist. The report was so bad, in fact, that the UN publicly apologized for it.

* The SPJ Airplay event in which the SPJ basically acknowledged that GG had a point.

* Zoe Quinn quietly vacating her order of protection after it became clear she had perjured herself under oath.

* CON basically losing all credibility after going out of its way to defend Sarah Nyberg after Nyberg was outed as a self-admitted pedophile.

* Multiple CON members and Anti-GG heads being outed as sex offenders/sex pests. There are dozens I can list, but for the sake of brevity, I'm going to keep it to some of the more interesting examples: Rob Marmolejo, who sexually harassed 17 women while working for CON, Valis99, a convicted sex offender that was Feminist Frequency's twitch mod, and Devin "Critics of Zoe Quinn are Worse than Ebola" Faraci, who was accused of sexual assault, which he later confessed to and DFE'd.

GG ended in October of 2015 because there was literally nothing else it was going to be reasonably able to accomplish. By this point, basically everyone who has been involved with the "Gamers are Over" incident or the initial attempts to bury Quinn's initial scandal had either lost their job or were on different platforms (that were less successful). Gawker was killed by Peter Thiel and Hulkamania. CON was gone, its membership succumbing to infighting and having bottomed out their credibility. There was an attempt to keep GG as a watchdog community after this, but that failed, as it inevitably wound up in countless power struggles between disparate groups of speds.

I can't say I fully agree, but I think it depends on what you expected out of GamerGate. As someone who sided more with Jim's aggressive stance and ultimately wanted to see everything burned to ash so we can start over again, I consider GamerGate to be a failure and I think that most of its "achievements" are meaningless in the grand scheme of things. To me it was game over the moment it became clear that everything would dance to the tune of spergs and grifters, as GamerGate became the proto-Kekistan. Gawker's ex-employees may bitch and moan about the Gators as much as they want, but it was in the end Hulk Hogan's lawsuit that killed them. The SPJ Airplay is all fine and good, but my personal stance is "who gives a shit?".

I'm willing to give credit to the UN thing. There is an obvious push to crack down on - if not outright end online anonymity with "cyberbullying against stronk independent womyn who don't need no man" being used as a vector. Now that that isn't an option anymore, "racisms", "Islamophobia" etc. are now considered as alternatives. I still consider online anonymity to be on deathwatch in the upcoming years.

The biggest, and in my opinion only meaningful, achievement of GamerGate was to provide us all with a myriad of lolcows. Almost half of the people we have threads on have their origins in GamerGate or were significantly involved in it.

While I'm not much of an internet historian, I consider GamerGate to be something akin to the Cambrian Explosion in terms of lolcows. It was the first time I witnessed an entire generation of grifters, speds, spergs and absolute nobodies seeing an easy opportunity and taking it to become internet "famous", not taking into account their own crippling autism they would expose for the world to gawk at. The rest is history.

TL;DR: Donald Trump would have never been president of the United States had five dicks remained unsucked.

In Johnny's case it's because he needed something to make him seem like less of an Autistic failure.
Naturally, his doing so only made him look more like one.

For Quinn however, she's the sort of person that attaches herself to very powerful people and through those, wields influence, and Quinn casts a particularly large shadow (less tasteful Kiwis would argue this is because she's fat). Before GG ever happened, Quinn had multiple IRL ties to many game journalists, people in the Indie Gaming scene, and direct ties to Feminist Frequency. Because she's claimed the crown jewel of Top Victim of GG, Social Justice circles treat her like a literal goddess. She's a part of the grifting circuit and always has been.

Her star is setting, as new, sexier professional victims come to the fore, but you're always going to have some sped or another giving her a pity project for Twatter cred. What's especially hilarious is that while she's falling by the wayside, Wu's managed to stay at the forefront by simple virtue of moving up to the big leagues in her run for office.

And once that FBI investigation is done. Kelly is not gunna do well in prison. The minute he steps in they will know he's a peadophile and beat him for days on end. It will be a never ending nightmare that will scar him for life.

Isn't that an interesting thing? There's dudes in prison doing life for some horrendous crimes. They know for a fact they're scum, many of them embrace that fact or simply don't care. Even so, they'll instantly despise someone getting locked up with them for crimes against children, and have zero issues fucking that person up.

I thought this was some sort of urban legend, or people were embellishing it, but nope. A few folks I know that are correctional officers confirmed it definitely happens often enough.

I assume when a kiddy fiddler's getting his hands broken in various ways so he can't touch kids again the COs suddenly have an acute blindness/deafness episode?
