So I'm about an hour in the Paper Mario TIHYDP since I woke up early today. Although I do find the game is throwing a lot of gameplay mechanics to learn... but holy fuck. This is painful to watch. If it weren't for the usual TIHYDP edits, I would give up on watching this already

Its really sad that a game intended for fucking 10 year olds makes Arin and Dan go "Uhhhhhhhhh what is this?". I guess you can excuse Dan for being a boomer, but imagine only doing basic attacks for 80% of the game while Arin complains how boring the game is while making unfunny jokes. Wait until you get to the point when the fans all call them out on a baby easy puzzle, and instead of saying "Yeah we were dumb" they deflect and call all criticism "Hating" and "being assholes". Not a single "Email" that Arin or Dan got was apparently worthy of the label of "Simple criticisms", no EVERYONE was hateful.

TTYD in itself was just a weird playthrough.
Done entirely through fan request, and it starts off with Arin and Dan being themselves (idiots) and they don't manage to get down the general battle functions. Then they have to start using a guide which they still fuck up on. I haven't watched it for a while but I think by Keyhaul Kee Dan just admits to using the badge build the fans want to use since it'll allow them to get through the game, because they're too bad at the game to get through it reliably to that point.
Like it just felt so weird for a GG playthrough and really you can tell was not in their element at all which is why they had to bend in to the "lovelies" in order to come out the good guys in the end.

Those critics (haters) just don't understand - Arin's sheer incompetence and Dan's utter boredom is all 'a bit!'
God, I hate that excuse! Much like the Grumps blaming Youtube's algorithm for their lack in subs/views, the 'it's a bit!' excuse got old, very fast. It's just another scapegoat so they can avoid personal accountability for their own channel failing.

These posts are pure joy. I didn't even know half of this stuff, like Arin selling Monty Oum's gifts to him and cutting out "nigga" in Metal Gear Awesome 2. Still on the Newgrounds version tho. Also, Knuckles still says "ya for real, nigz" in Awesome ChaotixWe've got a bit more Grumps community news, albeit mostly focused around RantGrumps.

Most of the information on there has already been properly archive here, but it makes for a nice checklist to detail all of Grumps' fuck-ups over the past year. ...If you can get past the formatting, at least.

Much like DSP the grumps only worth to me is patiently awaiting the inevitable bankruptcy saga.
Dan might be able to fall back on NSP for awhile (strong might), but Arin's inevitably fucked for the future once the money dries up. He's one major fuck up or apocalypse away from losing the one thing that keeps his 'friends' around.
I mean I don't expect much from a highschool dropout who got e-famous shitposting on newgrounds, its honestly surprising he's lasted this long. But unlike [any successful and thus not worth mentioning here content creator] that understands YouTube isnt forever, he has no plan for the future. Trying to branch out to a book/games just shows that he has no grasp of how to invest in his future.
I hope the spiral is slow, painful, and live tweeted.

As much as I would love it to happen Arin is the co-founder of Real Good Touring and they've been doing alright working with TWRP, Protomen, and even Mega64 for their live shows. I'm sure he has a big stake in those profits even after.
I thought someone either in this thread or on rantgrumps has mentioned their venue choices are not the best so it could lead into something.

Like, I don't particularly care if he ends up homeless. I'm totally fine with Arin being moderate success by most standards, y'know a nice enough modest house and all that.
I simply want life to give him a solid kick in the teeth before leaving him to learn a life lesson. That being a greedy scumbag can't buy happiness. That being a toxic shitter riding children's humor while refusing to gain adult responsibilities is a bad idea. That when your popularity is based off holding the coin purse, when the quarters run out you'll find out who your real friends are.

A rock band known for creating concept albums very loosely themed after the Mega Man series. As dumb as that might sound, they unironically put more effort into their work(second album on, anyway) than Arin has ever put into anything in his life.
They’re not exactly a huge attraction, though, and “being the guy who manages their tours” isn’t anything close to a lucrative career.

What makes them weird is how blatantly they don't want to play the game after an episode, or a couple episodes, yet fans BEGGED them to play it. So it's mainly out of obligation from what i can tell. Spongebob (and Majora's Mask) are clear examples of not giving a shit anymore. They just put on the walk through and lazily comment on things happening in the game not being invested in the slightest. But the best is when the lovelies cannibalize themselves over gameplay; one half is rightfully pissed to see games they enjoy played awfully and called bad because Arin judges the game off of his shit play, while saying the fans of the game can't take criticism the entire Majora's Mask Lp. While you have the other branch of Game Grump fans (mainly Twitter and Tumblr users) who will shout until they're blue in the face saying "YOU ARE WATCHING IT WRONG" "ITS A COMEDY" etc.... It's honestly a miracle how they still accumulate views past 100k especially with this massive fan divide.
