I remember listening to a podcast back in the day featuring Augustus Invictus and Eric Striker. He sounded pretty normal, but then I looked up Augustus' life and damn he is one crazy weirdo.

I dont think so, but I'm not sure. I've never spoken to Convictus. I just listened to a podcast he was in once. I dont think he's backtracked on anything. I think he has doubled down on his views.

It's hilarious to see how he struggles to combine vulgar language with formal pedantic language when he's angry and feels like he's being attacked, I think that's because he's a huge pseud.
Everytime I cannot help but laugh when I think about how he sugarcoats words like "negro" and quotes Ezra Pound, which may be one of the most cryptic poets ever, while also calling everyone who disagrees with him a retard, a communist or whatever he feels like calling them.

What is it with Alt Right people and their need to have massive personal red flags while simultaneously having to latch on to "the movement". Everyone in the "Alt Right" seems to have a huge character defect, or seem super weird on an interpersonal level. In Augustus case, why bother to join a white supremacist movement while being married to a non white woman and having non white children? In others' cases they always have a major disqualifier. It would be akin to a Communist movement leader being a billionaire casino mogul. Lool at the other Alt Right people like Mike Enoch with his Jewish wife, or David Duke with his tax fraud, Richard Spencer with his alcoholism, ad nauseum.

Also, who cares if your kid doesn't want to attend an ivy league? Seems like the kind of thing some boastful parent would say to seem impressive.

I guess extremist political movements attract extreme people, so that accounts for the lunacy.

In all seriousness, one would have to have a combination of exceptionalism and antisocial personality to want to be associated in any way with the cesspool trainwreck that is the Alt Right at least since Charlottesville, and there were plenty of warning signs before then. It's a loser movement that's detached from reality. Of course it's full of dysfunctional freaks.

As for why dysfunctional freaks are eager to be a part of it, the constant press jerking off over it for propaganda purposes makes it an attention whore's wet dream. Then there's the federal assets. The guy who ran security for The Right Stuff had been busted for heroin, the charge was basically disappeared, and he was hired by them practically the next day. Getting a heroin charge dropped was probably a pretty good motivator to work for the controlled opposition and do whatever the feds told him to in that capacity.
