Apparently John K.'s Cans Without Labels short gets flagged as appropriate for kids as well :cringe:
Oh this is going to be a godlike backfire.

If you take a look at the old Disney cartoons you had stuff like Goofy being a heavy smoker and trying to quit his habit.

In all fairness, I can kind of seeing that one being okay because he's trying to kick the habit.

All of these were flagged as kid friendly
GG Susan.

Well shit, they actually think that Beavis and Butthead and a joke video about an old hentai flash animation are kid friendly.

Now I know that Youtube's moderating system is laughable but this takes the cake. What a bunch of idiots.

This also makes me wonder if the anime stuff and even the stuff made by animators like psychicpebbles and hotdiggedydemon will also get flagged as well. A lot of anime out there is not really made for kids and those animators that make adult parodies of popular T.V. shows and other stuff are also at risk too.

Pretty much everyone is an open target on Youtube now.
I mean if they're flagging animation clips that are already adult, they might as well go the whole way.

Never stopped them before.

>Happy Tree Friends being flagged as made for kids.

This is probably the funniest one to me given that literally the entire joke is that it looks like a kids' show but is gratuitously violent. How fucking dense do you have to be to fall for Happy Tree Friends of all things?

It was even earlier. Peggy Charren started ruining cartoons way back in 1968.
Cartoons nothing, she ruined TV, and it never fully recovered.

If I had to guess, it's because they did that copyright short that one time without realizing the show is violent as fuck all.

Next thing you know, all of the anime stuff will be labeled as 'kid-friendly' too.

Now who can forget Goku having a hole through his abdomen and then dies in Dragon Ball Z or Kenshiro making a guy explode and becomes nothing but a bunch of bloody pieces in Fist of the North Star or Kazuma from Konosuba stealing women's panties with magic and takes joy in it too or just about any clip from Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt, and so on.

So kid-friendly. Youtube are a bunch of fucking morons.

Nobody's falling for it. Google is deploying yet another one of their "revolutionary" AIs that was hacked together by a college student to detect vibrant colors and automatically assume it's a cartoon.

Go ahead and look up videos about kaleidoscopes or maybe installing old software in Windows 95 or something, I'm sure they'll be flagged too.

What's the point?

Flash is gonna die this year.
Just the Flash plug-in and last time I checked they now have stuff that are in the HTML5 format instead of Flash and they do plan to release a their own open soruce version of the Adobe Flash plug-in so that people can continue playing flash content too.

Nothing really becomes lost forever on the Internet and there will be those that will be there to preserve Internet history too.

Like I said in the earlier topic about this, all of my animated videos (I run an animation channel) were selected as "made for kids" when they still had violence and some nudity in them.

Ugh, stuff like this makes me legitimately upset. It's been common knowledge for years now though for animators to put their stuff on dailymotion or veoh though, since YouTube is trash for animators.
