Not exactly drama related, but more of a question I kinda want awnsered since there isn't really a place to ask: how true is it that aerospace, avionics, and rocketry and the like is full of furries? Because I've seen a furry try to claim so as well as claim that the A-10 gun was invented by a furry

In my experience it's always the CompSci department at most engineering schools that are filled to the brim with furfags and bronies. It was something of a joking rule in the ChemE department i studied in that if you smelled butyric acid and/or pyridine outside the labs, you were in CompSci territory.

Fairly true. That specific story was whisper down the lanes to death, sounds like. Doug Winger did apparently work on an A-10 integration project, but it wasn't related to the GAU-8, and he certainly didn't invent it.

I can't give any solid stats, but yes, there are a lot of furries in those fields, and IT, and it also gives them a bit of a disposable income to spend on furry shit. Anecdotally speaking, there was an instance almost ten years ago, where a furry artist got kicked out of an aviation themed group on DeviantArt because the admin said that drawing furry pilots was offensive to the people in the industry and the guy got reamed by people coming out of the woodwork who were both furries and heavily involved in aerospace, a lot of pilots included.

The biggest names (and mouths) in the furry fandom tend to be people with white collar engineering/IT jobs that pay really fucking well. Flying to a bunch of cons during the year, buying fursuits and commissioning art get your name out there in the fandom.
Example: chipfoxx is a defense contractor for the US military. He makes bank and goes on about left leaning social issues, while his wife raises $32k for a fucking furry documentary.
Funny considering they're tight with Vex werewolf and her endless armchair Twitter revolutionary BS.
That's surprising to me, that a wannabe woke Twitter warrior like vex would take dick from a defense contractor and his wife.

Considering I want to do aerospace myself, I don't be think furfags work directly with the board that is developing the F 35 since governments needs to track all your shit. And I don't think that they want pedos on the board. however many furfags lack social skills or self awareness.
Power level time; I spoke to a chemical engineering guy a few times and stated that a furfag worked at the sameness place he worked at under his management for a bit. HE got fired for being a fucking idiot on site and supposedly being an annoying to other workers. This is merely what I can remember so I might edit This shit later.
