Apparently it's only okay for MHA to have recap episodes and character name tags because it's a show meant for television... But another show that does that? Absolutely terrible.
It's fascinating that he defends MHA considering that it has been considered as one of the most "capitalistic" animes done in recent years, down to both how the IP is used and in-universe. He himself made that point years ago comparing it to Naruto.
Why so many anime socialits like MHA? It appeals to the inner child of any cynic adult that wants the world to stop burning, even those that want to burn it themselves.

After a quick google search of both, my money is on Magia Record. It looks like all the main characters have very distinct designs in Plunderer. You would have to be special needs to get confused by them, which for all his other problems, Geoff isn't.

Meanwhile, looking up Magia Record turned up this bullshit:

So maybe Geoff has a point here. He just got the air date wrong.

It also features lolitastic designs and... "lez rape" according to that chart. Seems like it might be the kind of show Mr. Projection might be into on the downlow.
Lesbians are standard fare in Madoka Magica. He's probably bitching about it because the anime adaptation has aired and an English client for the game was released (the Japanese client is region locked, real cool Aniplex (thank god FGO isn't region locked)).

It also has a pretty big Tumblr fanbase and yaoi doujinshis are shat out a mile a minute.

I was referring to the "rape" being eyebrow raising more than the "lez" although looking at it now that chart may be using it more metaphorically. Like a Call of Duty player.

A few things:
1. At least he isn’t autistically writing it out as “Hero Aca” on Twitter any more. It’s annoying when he says it in his videos and it takes up more space on Twitter, which made sticking to it there odd.

2. Geoff must have drank the Crunchyroll Kool-Aid so hard that he forgot that anime airs on television. That dedication to shilling would be almost impressive if it wasn’t so sad.

If I had to guess why he, and other like him, likes MHA (which is kinda mediocre):
1. He doesn't really like it, but pretends so his viewers won't turn against him (most likely).
2. He has nostalgia for super heroes from childhood but isn't willing to read Marvel/DC despite talking how woke they are.
3. Likes the idea of a world where everyone has inborn speciality, giving them value. Contrary to the real world where people like him make content that has no value.

I think most people do because they're currently riding the hype train still of MHA. Like remember when people were passing MHA for Demon Slayer? You couldn't turn anywhere without Demon Slayer being put in your face, and Funimation named it their best anime of the decade. I'm over here fucking mouth agape that the current fad will be known as anime of the decade for them when Funi has put out some amazing shows (just in their reach).

Not knocking Demon Slayer (Which I do enjoy) or MHA (which is fine) but following trends makes you look like a fucking idiot when you try rewatching something for it to only feel dated and you're adamant it was THE show.

There's a reason why I can still talk to people about Mob Psycho even now because it was a revolution of character development and animation but Yuri on Ice is just "Oh yeah, that show about the gay skaters" even though it won so many awards back in it's first year.

Two things 1) the creator is female and 2) she's married with kids though I haven't been able to confirm the second part.

He insists he hates lolicons and underaged girls, but then he called Chise from Magus Bride (a character in her mid teens) a “top tier waifu” in one of his videos.

Also, what is it with him having a single show per season that he continuously rags on?
When it comes to things he likes he seems to be able to gloss over or ignore the problematic elements of it. Since you brought up Magus Bride Elias did buy Chise at a slave auction and refers to the fact that he owns her several times and Chise has no problem with this, Geoff at no point brings this up.

Something I didn't about Jk Haru I didn't mention was a chapter in which Haru plays what amounts to a national sport with a bunch of middle schoolers. To help the kids shes playing with she starts flashing the other team and distracting them. Then after people want to stop her from playing the game and she almost gets raped by the guy in charge, she decides to dress in something super skimpy and do sexy poses with the boys in the middle of the stadium.

Here's a Twitter thread dunking on him: https://twitter.com/BepDelta/status/1215685857719595009

Also, while he's at it, why doesn't he call out Family Guy for advocating for pedophilia? I mean, Brian is only 8 years old, but has dated and slept with lots of grown women. Because when it comes to age, you should only take human years into account.

What show?
My guess would be Big Mouth. Also, lol at geoff unronically liking Girls Bravo, you know, that one show where a 16 year alian girl sucks off a banana and shows off her naked body multiple times.

Edit because holy shit you can't make this stuff up. He's unironically advertising Light Novels with loli content now after just complaining about a series where catgirls are aging in cat years and therefore still children. https://twitter.com/G0ffThew/status/1215779672207679488

just for the unaware, one of those series is well known for having underaged characters (Thirteen and younger) being shown naked and bathing and some illustrations showing very viable camel toe

Three in cat years, which is 28 human years. Even then, you got the ages of the two main cat girls wrong, as they are 9 months old in cat years, so around 14 or so in human years.

Gotta get attention somehow, and it always backfires.

Not even mentioning the fact that this woman is just generally weird looking and has misshapen areolae, cosplay thots having tattoos that they don't even bother attempting to cover up bothers me so much. If your entire "career" centers around dressing up as cartoon characters and showing off your body, why even get a permanent mark on your skin in the first place? It completely ruins the illusion; as soon as I notice the tattoo I no longer feel like I'm looking at Callie Splatoon's ugly squid tits (not that I ever really did in the first place), I feel like I'm looking at a mentally handicapped woman's ugly human tits. I genuinely can't believe anyone would pay for this.
