Arin Hanson / Egoraptor / Grump - "Hey I'm Grump!" of Game Grumps fame, hypocritical SJW doxer, shat himself recording a let's play

I don’t know what Ross’s taste is. But seeing as all of the big youtube animators seem to gravitate towards lowbrow humor as it is, it wouldn’t shock me that he enjoyed it.

that said, you generally don’t want to insult anyone’s production for any reason. The animation industry is surprisingly small, and you’re bound to work with someone that can 3 degrees of separation with another crew. That’s not to say it doesn’t happen, but you gotta be a tad more careful. And not even because you fear your job, it’s mainly so you don’t have trouble finding a crew.
You just get more creative with your criticism since truthfully, no one tried to create a bad show.
But when you’re an internet guy, there is the chance that you don’t realize that and want to white knight a little.
I mean, he could also just...say nothing. Why open yourself up to hostile engagement for something you could just as easily ignore?
Okay @OmnipotentStupidity you’ve been a brave soul by constantly subjecting yourself to modern Game Grumps. Now I know Arin sucks at vidya, but he’s funny, right?
But of course, he's the Video Game Boy, the one who wins. And someone like that obviously knows of the true peaks of comedy. A modern-day Charlie Chaplan that one is. Majestic.
I mean, I joke, but some Lovelies do equate Arin to early comedians like Chaplin, Abbott and Costello, the Three Stooges, et al more often than you think.

Ross has always had a tendency to poke and prod people to mess with them, this is no different.

.... But Arin's never been funny.... what do these Lovelies even seeeeeeeee?!?!?!?!?!!?!

This honestly is the saddest part about the Lovelies, they unironically think that Arin and those in the grump office are these comedy savants who are on 16 levels of humor. So they can justify the many blunders of the company. For example the most recent drama was boiled down to "LOL it's just a joke, whats so wrong about making us watch a stealth ad?" by most of the fans. It's this weird god complex that is definitely feeding into Arin's ego; truly it reaches it's apex when Arin literally makes disgruntled fans as literal kidnappers while he is the perfect saint trying to make every situation happy and funny for everyone. While normal people can smell that bullshit six miles away, indoctrinated fans will see this almost as reality and be even more protective of the Grumps (as seen by the comments and reddit posts). Again, we just need one HUGE controversy to shake this already crumbling audience just to see them scramble to the automated responses.

When I talked about what made various other Let's Players good, people seemed to like the idea of me going back and adding examples of their various funny moments. I couldn't edit it, so here's a quote with links added. People also brought up a couple of other ideas, but they never got back to me with videos, so eh.

Also, people brought up ProZD being a bit of a d-bag, but I couldn't think of a better example.
To follow on, different Lets Players have different methods of handling it. To give some examples:
Different people will go to different LPers based on what they like and look for.
Edit: Added more details.

I would like to add that when Super Best Friends Play was around, they had a decent wit, but really shined when they wanted to mock a bad game like a David Cage game or stuff like that.

In relation to the thunder cats cartoon, Ross tweeted this as an addon to his bait tweet.
It’s always weird to me when people who work with Arin say or tweet “lessons” that they should tell Arin but don’t for some reason?

So Ross gets his kicks watching people sperg out over stupid shit. Wonder if that's why he sticks around Arin?

Soviet Jump Game reviews are still mixed.
The game right now has 67% percent of people recommending it. Oof

main complaints I see are
  • game lags all the time with teleporting players
  • online play is supposed to have at most 50 players but you’d be lucky to get even 10 in a game
  • Main menu doesn’t correctly work half the time
  • Inputs don’t register randomly
  • Horrendous key bindings and is a pain in the ass to rebind to other keys
  • Waste of time/ nothing special
  • Complaint of DLC not recognized as purchased

Also no European servers from what I’ve heard. That’s a pretty big problem.

As of this writing, with about 17K views, this is the current most popular Soviet Jump Game video not actually by the Game Grumps. And, despite the uploader trying to be as optimistic as possible and repeatedly mentioning how he’s really been wanting more non-shooter Battle Royales, it really doesn’t go too well.

The first round he immediately walks into a pit and dies, the second round he dies to another player, the third round the game crashes to the title screen, the fourth he dies to bad netcode, the fifth he dies to the game’s own imprecise platforming, and the last he wins by default because the only other player leaves before the round even starts.

His final thoughts are that it’s a fun concept that just isn’t ready yet and needs a lot of work, especially on the visual angle because as it stands it’s quite busy and confusing at important moments.

It’s really not the best look for them, especially because as far as I can tell it’s now the top gameplay result for the game on YT.

The game looks so boring and how the fuck is it going to be monetized? Cosmetics is a no-brainer but pay for levels or powerups maybe? The idea is sound but it just looks so boring to actually play.

It just looks like a terrible rip off of Super Mario Brothers; but with a painful color palette and levels that look entirely too busy/cluttered.
