There are few things more disrespectful to your parents (adopted or not), then changing your name.

There are a lot of hurtful and hateful connotations associated with rejecting your family name. It's any parents worst nightmare (socially speaking).

These people took in this little girl and loved her like their own. And she grows up as a useless turd on society, and they still clearly love her to bits. They try to be supportive of her nonsense-interests and lack of contribution to anything but her selfish rètarded wants.
