I can't really add to this, but I will say it does give me hope for society that intelligent people would rather opt out of biased media than let it corrupt their way of thinking. I know a lot of people who seem to think media bias is harmless as long as it agrees with your own bias, and that's a recipie for groupthink and mob mentaility. Case in point: SJWs.

Thanks, this is one of the few posts in this thread that's made me feel better about the world I live in.

I guess it would be easy to dive into the SJW mindset since I'm gay and I'm a feminist. Except I don't hate men, almost all my closest friends are all men. And I believe in equality, not that women are a precious minority whose delicate sensibilities should never be offended. I don't want hetero women in gay bars, it's not their safe place, it's the gay people's safe space if it's anyone's. I refuse to read media that says men should feel shitty about being who they're born to be and that women are somehow innately superior. It's bullshit.

Honestly, I have some conservative friends to thank for me seeking out more unbiased news sources. I might disagree with them about things like socialised medicine but they're still good people and they get judged really harshly by a lot of left wing people without taking the time to find out why they believe what they do or who they are as people. As I kind of mentioned earlier, the Wikipedia article[1] on "cultural appropriation" has a section with a rebuttal to the notion of it being bad (presumably inherently). It's similar to the argument that copying isn't theft, and argues that copying culture is (at least inherently) harmless.[31]

However, the article then has this to say:

Critics argue this analysis omits the issue of colonialism, context, and the difference is that exchange happens on an "even playing field", and pieces of an oppressed culture are often taken out of context by a people who have historically oppressed those they are taking from.[9][32][33]

However, I believe that that aforementioned rebuttal (and its' source [31]) to the notion of cultural appropriation being (presumably inherently) harmful implies that the critics' arguments as quoted above are irrelevant due to what is said in the rebuttal, at least as far as there's no deliberate bad intent involved.

Not only that, but others have said that the notion of cultural appropriation being bad can be discriminatory as it's the notion that intangible content can be limited to certain people due to it's origin.

Also, why should an individual automatically be responsible for the actions of others or their ancestors in their ethnic group? At least at first glance, that sounds pretty racist to me...

No I know who she is she's hated by veterans groups everywhere. If you think she couldn't ruin someone's career you'd be wrong her position in dc and the highly political cocksucking nature of high ranking officers really means anything could happen, she could get laughed at on speakerphone after everyone in the office is told to gather round. She could have gotten someone thrown out.
A few months ago a video was made with a character named suzy rottencrotch, a common name for a girl you shouldn't be sticking your dick into. There was some army office cunt who contacted the co of the guy who made it, he got in some sort of trouble and she got an arcom or commendation medal. An officer might take her side he can talk about furthering female integration in the military on his next fitrep, there are no shortage of absolute psychopaths in the upper ranks.

I only hope this has ruined her in dc but the way professional victims call favors with each other I doubt it.

Orientalism is a term that is used by art historians, literary and cultural studies scholars for the imitation or depiction of aspects in Middle Eastern, South Asian, and East Asian cultures (Eastern cultures).

It doesn't seem inherently harmful. Also, I should've mentioned earlier that Eden does acknowledge cultural exchange as being OK, so they're not against any use of other cultures. But they're against uses they see as "costume-ish", so it probably depends on what kind of "orientalism" is involved to Eden.

Good I'm glad all their effort was for nothing and I hope this shit haunts them for a few years. Not that it matters I'm sure all these guys have trust funds and shit.
