Phenazepam is apparently a drug a lot of goons were into at that time and lots of them did incredibly fucked up things on it. I'm not sure if this is just because goons are lightweights or this is some serious bad ju-ju of a drug. It's apparently a super benzo. The few trip reports on Erowid, another druggie forum, seem to be mixed to bad so it seems this is something you should generally not do without good reason to do it. Blackouts with extravagant behavior seem to be common.

It is an opiate. Route of administration doesn't really matter although rectal would bypass first-pass liver metabolism I guess.

Basically you take enough of it to deplete your liver enzymes responsible for metabolizing it along with P-glycoprotein that keeps it out of your CNS. Once you start feeling it, you're fairly close to respiratory depression and death. What a fun drug to abuse.

At one point I ran into a pastebin of a giant series of posts in TCC about some lady going on ambulance adventures in Ukraine. She rode with a couple of contracted paramedics who were both phenazepam addicts (always referring to phenazepam as "da joose") and generally caused more disasters than they fixed. I posted it in the psychonaut thread and you should read it.

I tried to listen to This Week in Tech for a while, a podcast hosted by Leo Laporte, and occasionally he'd have a Mashable writer named Christina Warren show up. She was so insufferable, she ruined every episode she was on until I just had to stop watching. Even the episodes uploaded to YouTube with her get ratioed, with several commenters asking why the hell she's still invited back.

And this was in like, 2015, before Trump Derangement Syndrome took hold in California. She was just a shitty rich kid who wouldn't shut the fuck up about the latest Apple thing her daddy bought her, half the shit out of her mouth was a humblebrag from an enlightened 20-something white girl. One of those kinds of people.

So that's what I think of when I see anything from Mashable. They're total garbage right on par with HuffPo and company.

Realizing the latest crusade hasn't given her any further validation as a person and the backlash is just ugh too much trouble, Koala's Mooch has decided to dramatically check out for a while and leave TGRS in the incapable hands of IKs that either REEEE at or probate anyone that doesn't have several volumes worth of posts in TGRS.

I mean a four letter abbreviated forum that's incredibly hostile to outsiders, has incredibly insular jokes, probation happy IKs and inside language sounds somewhat problematic to me...maybe it should be closed?
