Well if you tell them now people will stop going to asian sex workers altogether you dunce! I swear I never understood the appeal of prostitutes (masturbation: it's just better in every way!) But at this point you have to be the most shameless of neets to still hire asian sex workers. Have fun explaining to the authorities how you got infected! "No sir you see it HAD to be an asian woman my peepee just doesn't get hard enough with other ethnicities, now if only she could be 2d, hhhhmmmfff.~"

Looks like the CCP is letting the USA bring home more people from China. Bet we could fill ten planes easily if the CCP would allow it.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - About 350 Americans who left Wuhan, China, aboard two planes arrived at a U.S. military base in California on Wednesday, in Washington's latest effort to fly its citizens away from the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak.

The U.S. travelers on two State Department-chartered flights will be quarantined for 14 days after landing, the U.S. Defense Department said in a statement.

The jets landed at Travis Air Force Base, about midway between San Francisco and Sacramento, KNTV television reported, showing images of two planes on the tarmac on its website.

One of the planes will continue on to Miramar Marine Corps Air Station in San Diego after refueling, the Pentagon said, and was due to arrive at Miramar between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. Pacific time (between 1400 and 1700 GMT), a Marine Corps spokesman said in a statement.

The State Department separately said it may stage additional flights on Thursday but gave no other details.
The United States and other countries are seeking to evacuate their citizens from China, where the fast-spreading outbreak has killed 490 people. Two deaths have been reported outside of the mainland.

U.S. health officials have reported 11 confirmed cases of the virus in the United States so far, including two person-to-person transmissions.

The Trump administration declared a public health emergency on Jan. 31, and announced the extraordinary measures of barring the entry of foreign nationals who have recently visited China and imposing a mandatory two-week quarantine for travelers from China's affected province.

The State Department issued a "Do Not Travel" to China advisory to U.S. citizens, advising them to return on commercial flights if possible, though some commercial airlines have suspended flights to or from major Chinese cities.

U.S. officials have also restricted flights from China to 11 designated airports deemed capable of carrying out enhanced screening.

Nearly 200 Americans were evacuated late last month, mostly U.S. diplomats and their families, and they were flown to March Air Force Base east of Los Angeles.

Novel Coronavirus: Transmission Before Illness Documented
German workers caught virus from Chinese colleague who showed no symptoms

  • by John Gever, Managing Editor, MedPage TodayJanuary 30, 2020

The Chinese employee of a German firm who transmitted the novel coronavirus to co-workers during business meetings did so while still appearing healthy, according to clinicians and researchers in Munich.
Camilla Rothe, MD, of University Hospital LMU Munich, and colleagues reported in a letter to the New England Journal of Medicine rushed into online publication Thursday evening that the Chinese woman "had been well with no signs or symptoms of infection" while in Germany on Jan. 20 and 21, "but had become ill on her flight back to China" where she tested positive for the virus on Jan. 26.

The first of her German colleagues developed symptoms on Jan. 24; three others tested positive on Jan. 26. Notably, only two of the Germans came into contact with the Chinese colleague during her stay, Rothe and colleagues said; "the other two patients had contact only with Patient 1," the first to develop symptoms.

"The fact that asymptomatic persons are potential sources of 2019-nCoV infection may warrant a reassessment of transmission dynamics of the current outbreak," Rothe's group wrote.

Previously, Chinese officials said they believed asymptomatic transmission had occurred in patients there, but public health authorities elsewhere expressed skepticism. "We haven't been able to confirm by data ... transmission during the asymptomatic phase," CDC Director Robert Redfield, MD, said on Tuesday.

Although Rothe and colleagues didn't identify the company specifically, details of their narrative matched earlier media reports about four German workers developing infections after meeting with a Chinese colleague. Those reports identified the company as Webasto, a Bavarian auto parts supplier with operations in the Chinese city of Wuhan, where the coronavirus outbreak began in December.

German media reported late Thursday that a fifth Webasto employee in Germany had been diagnosed with the infection.

take this with a grain of salt because I can't prove it without PLing, but at least one of the men who showed up at the Miramar base today is likely infected

EDIT: I was incorrect. person was not quarantined at Miramar, but at another base close to it. man was not from the planes coming from China. I have no information on where he came from or who he is, just that he's highly suspected.

I think this might be worse as I was expecting people on the planes to be infected.

To go with Zach Vorhees excellent analysis, China is now saying the US released the coronavirus as a bioweapon.

English translation begins at line 61.

"I believe and have compelling circumstantial reason to believe that the American CIA injected and planted the so-called 'Wuhan virus' into Wuhan, China in or around the dates of October 31st 2019 and December 31st 2019 with intent to harm China and with potential to destablize and perhaps even motive to collapse China from within."

Highlights:

- US wants to keep it's supply chains
- The virus was released right after the trade deal
- The Swine Flu was a dry run
- Only targets ethnic Han, white people don't care about it
- China needs a deterrence plan
- End of the petrodollar hegemony
- Blowback, collateral risk are minimal with this vector of attack
- The US is bad
- It's probably war
- Everyone is saying mean things about China

Summary:

Interesting read, nothing other people haven't said already but notable for scope and breadth.

The political and economic focus puts this purely in the realm of propaganda, it's clearly produced for Western audiences. The specific officials cited are highly polarizing in the US but almost completely unknown to the public in Asia / the South Pacific. A Stylometric analysis of the original text would probably reveal common authorship with other letters, but I'm not set up to do that.

I took from this much will be made about the fact coronachan doesn't have much impact on Westerners. That doesn't exactly prove anything, but it's certainly a great jumping off point for conspiracy theorists.

My money is still on the idea China obtained lab samples from Canada, tested them on pigs, a dimwit sold diseased pigs to a wet market and chaos ensued. Whether the US could engineer that by letting it happen, maybe? It would be easier to accept if people in China washed their hands and didn't hate doctors.
This is totally asinine; what happens when a pack of Chinks riot and lynch an American? Do they really think Trump won't seek revenge against them? All he needs to do is have the family of the deceased with him in a televised speech; and then he can slap 100% tariffs on China, and ban Chinks from getting visas - student, work, or tourist - to visit America.

In one stroke he collapses China's economy, the corrupt American university system, and revamps American manufacturing.

Prostitution is legal in NZ so I wonder if these women can go on the dole while they wait for things to clear up.

This concept is the funniest thing I've read in this thread. Imagining someone filling out a form for like? Unemployment Insurance. Profession, Prostitute. Reason for work stoppage- cannot get customers due to fear of spreading wuflu.

Can't even rate this post optimistic. Even if that did happen, the unfortunate part is as much as many people want us all in the west to distance ourselves from China they've become deeply, deeply, ingrained in so many aspects of our life- especially on the consumerist part. If you pick up anything around you it is likely to either be made in China or made of parts that were made in China. The only item I currently own that's 100% made in the USA according to the label is a Garbage can. The effects of Trump totally cutting China off in this hypothetical would be devastating for various middle income persons who are barely scraping by on retail jobs and all the other industries that would be affected as a result is monumental. Not to mention factories to build these items stateside don't really exist currently and if you follow Western safety protocol to build them it isn't gonna have a short turn-around.

You can't just cold Turkey cut off a supplier of basically everything that people purchase without coming dangerously close to or outright tanking your economy.

Some news from Germany - the racism against Chinese people is apparently on the rise.

"From insults to assault: Chinese people have been experiencing this since the outbreak of the coronavirus. China's embassy is concerned about its citizens and appeals to the federal government.

[...]

According to the police, two women in Berlin-Moabit allegedly insulted a Chinese woman with racial slurs, spat on her, tore her by the hair and beat and kicked her. The 23-year-old suffered head injuries. The attackers fled. The police is investigating."

on a related point, if you guys see this on biorxiv:

you need to be able to read the article critically. or if you lack the background to be able to do that, wait until there's more consensus before touting something around as fact. there have been a number of trash articles written about wuflu at this point. I think the most noteworthy was when some Chinese scientists tried to purport that a zoonotic coronavirus was transferred to us from snakes. That one was actually even peer-reviewed iirc, though I think the journal admitted that they "expediated" the process for them.
I remember there being another Chinese paper where they found an island bat virus with the exact same E protein. Of course overall the sequence is more similar to the tropical bat virus the Wuhan lab claimed to have found back in 2013 although they only uploaded the sequence after their preprint came out this January.

The propaganda saying that the USA planted the virus is interesting. It implies some kind of arse-covering for a future where someone turns up an identical sequence in a lab freezer somewhere. “Oh it is an escaped sequence/man made/you have an identical sequence in your storage in Canada ? Well the great orange Satan did it, not us, guvnor!”
It’s pre-preparing the way for deflection if it is found to be tinkered with. (Removes tinfoil hat.)

I still dont think we have any actual evidence that is is tinkered with, btw. But with what I know about working with things like this, labs in general and how they combine outside the west, id not be shocked if it was. Maybe they are just pushing that angle as well to deflect from their own shortcomings. Who knows..,

That's more or less my thoughts on the matter. It's a decent piece of propaganda for their purposes, regardless of whether or not the virus is man-made. It moves the needle towards "escaped from lab" a little bit on my end, but it really doesn't matter at this point. Their response is the important thing and they're fucking that up with gusto.

(Can't elaborate without PLing, take with grain of salt): From a PR standpoint - especially with a regime like this one - it's classic scapegoating. The virus could be another run-of-the-mill wet market plague, but whatever the truth is doesn't matter to most people. In a climate like that, the short-term strategy is to unite/galvanize people against a common enemy. For the CCP, the west is a perfect boogeyman for most of the populace (foreign, distant, often blamed for ails anyway), and takes eyes off the party. In theory, at least. Either way, it's hard to take the statement (from them) as being indicative of a weaponized (intentionally or otherwise) man-made virus.

Without more info, it's hard to say if it's actually working this time. If conditions in Wuhan are even half as bad as they seem, this move likely won't work. There's been a startling amount of dissent on their social media for a network so thoroughly policed for noncompliance, and at this stage, the move reeks of desperation. I'd bet civil unrest is increasing, maybe more rapidly than they originally expected.

Armchair observation: China closing its own borders and flailing their arms isn't all that weird, but it's odd that so many other governments (and companies) are openly cutting travel/trade with them, while simultaneously claiming everything's fine. There's a lot of lost money here, and companies at least are usually loathe to sacrifice big profits even in the face of armageddon. That, more than anything the CCP is doing, is worrying.

absolutely terrifying, the real question is how much of this is based on he disease legality and how much is based of just China being an unhygienic country with shit healthcare, i really fucking hope that is the biggest cause of the deaths otherwise we are looking at some apocalyptic level shit.

Well so far all the deaths are in 3rd world shitholes.

On the other hand only 3 recoveries have occurred in the first world (Aus and Japan) but this makes me doubt the Chinese stats even more..

but it's odd that so many other governments (and companies) are openly cutting travel/trade with them, while simultaneously claiming everything's fine.
Watching what people do (or don’t do) is usually more informative than what they say...
I’m also surprised at the cutting of flight links and enforced quarantines. I’m glad, because it’s sensible, but given the cost involved, I do wonder what info is being back channelled to authorities to make this happen.
Still no news out of Africa or India. it taking off, or not there will be informative.

Just thought it'd be worth sharing, please let me know if any of these is already old.

Since white people have now been proven to be all but immune to any adverse effects from the WuFlu and only get sniffles, I am going to book a flight to China next week. Low demand means that 5-star hotels and local hookers will be cheap AF. I can also virtue signal on facebook to all the assholes I have listed there as "friends" about how not racist I am compared to them by not shunning Chinese. Winning!
The only real concern is to be lynched by locals as a suspected American CIA agent spreading the plague, so need to have a crash course in Russian language beforehand.
