I don't know as much about the usa wilderness but I do know enough it has its own nasties and that it's just as much of a suicide as it would be here. Omg please no one listen to this crazy bitch. You cannot suck venom out. Maybe a small amount could possibly come out, but snake fangs are HYPODERMIC NEEDLES. The venom is immediately carried into your system.

You need proper prevention first. Wear boots and hike with a group or partner. Carry a charged phone and keep it off while you hike/camp.
If you do get bit, fucking stay calm, walk away from the snake and sit down. Take a minute to plan, send your partner or a member of your group for help. The ONLY "cure" for a snake venom is the proper anti. ALL "snakebite kits" are bullshit. Do not cut yourself.

She also claims you can suck out venom with your mouth. You will never suck out enough venom to save your life. By the time you even get cut yourself (which is bullshit) it has spread throughout your body because you know, the lymphatic system, but I hope she does try. Less stupid people in the world that way.
