I figure it would be unlikely because a) people don't care that much, and b) who wants to help the troons make life miserable for even more women?

Parenting forums must be a classic place to collect salt and assholes, because my god do people love to judge each other for how they raise their kids. A support forum for women raising a family and the difficulties that go with it sounds like a great, useful idea - and also the sort of place where there would be a lot of passive-aggressive sniping and high-quality shaming going on.

But if it's not taken over by SJWs or anti-vaxxers it's probably as good as place as any to try and get a reality check. And I do like the idea of a raging scrum of mothers swarming over their enemies.

It’s actually not too bad for that. It’s a huge site, so there’s plenty of madness like any parenting board, but overal it’s quite sensible. There’s no significant antivaxxer presence as far as I’ve seen. I generally avoid parenting sites because they’re godawful, but the general tone of mumsnet is alright.
Edited to add: a ‘parenting forums’ thread would probably be doable - I don’t think MN alone has enough.
I used to be in a mums group when I was an expat (I think I’m still in it..) and that was crazy. “My son does seventy nine extracurriculars a week and has twenty maths tutors. He’s recently started to act out - what could possibly be wrong? should I up the maths ?” Raging militant vegans and antivaxxers, and MLMs all over. Enjoyably mad, although I often felt sorry for the kids...

The first sentence is a quote from someone else’s post. That’s how they look on MN.
The poster who is on about about being a goth? She is taking the piss out of the poster whose word are in bold. She’s telling her not to be such a drama queen.
This type of tone is the british middle class equivalent of ‘bless your heart.’

I like to think I'm one of those Americans in tune with the dry, understated humor of the British, until I come across something like this. Didn't have a clue. Maybe I would have to hear the tone of voice.

It's fucking awesome. Helicopter parents planning out their kid's entire life and severing ties with their in-laws because they fed their kid something that wasn't breast milk.

Interspersed with other questions like "my son just ate some batteries should I be concerned?"

Does the UK have a problem with parents refusing the vitamin K shot? This is becoming increasingly common in the US.
