Hopefully it's the latter. If I've read right in following this is what needs to be done. You need to stop giving the virus 'food' in the form of bodies and the way you do that is literally by preventing human interaction if that's how it's passed. Stop everything, lock yourselves up for however long, limit human to human contact and don't let outsiders in so you can prevent the infection from getting in - it's the only way to stop something like this.

As I said earlier in the thread the global system bases a massive amount of its manufacturing on Just In Time inventory, and one of the major manufacturing hubs isn't in time. If I were you I'd be tightening my belt as the global economy's going to be reeling from this. More isolated economies might be in a better spot, but there's a lot of countries that are going to be royally fucked.

I think if I were going to arrange food shipments, I'd bring it in by helicopter, and have troops bring it door to door in full hazmat suits. When they arrived at an apartment building, I'd give a warning over loud speakers for everyone to go indoors, and only get the packages after the troops leave. This would minimize human contact.

Edit:
You sure as fuck wouldn't want to just drop it off, and let civilians come pick it up. They'd be infecting each other faster than if you were to not have any quarantine at all.

i honestly don't know what to think, his absence really is odd, if he was healthy he should be on tv constantly trying to calm people and unite them and if he was sick he should have a live feed tv interview from his sickbed "look good people of China, i'm suffering along side you, i promise to live and die my your side, that is the proof of a true leader".

him being absence might mean he's either dead or terminal.

Xi met with Cambodia's PM on the fifth of this month.

Ignorance? Exactly how bad is the problem with people moving up by being fluent in communist dialectics as opposed to being good at civil services, and how much does it also apply to the medical system? My first thought on seeing that wet market shit, or the fact they’re worse on personal hygiene than fucking India, was how has this not fucking happened already. Are all of those students that come over here barred from Party advancement for fear that they may have been turned or something equally autistic; a sort of useful but not really trusted kind of thing?

It's a bad time for him to show up. Officially reported numbers are still going up, there's a lot of outrage even in heavily-censored Chinese social media, tons of leaks about the shoddy new hospitals/death camps, and Dr. Li Wenliang's death is still fresh in people's minds. If he truly did care about his people, he'd be more hands-on or at least visible in these times of crisis. That he's sending out toadies to go in front of cameras instead says a lot.

They have their elites hiding away to avoid contamination, and if they are infected they will get the very best of care. Once again, China is all about saving face and maintaining their reputation of a paper tiger. Even as they're looking totally fucked, they'll maintain their face, in spite of the evidence around them.

There are wide degrees of "quarantine". Wuhan and the surroundings are in full blown lockdown. Places like Chengdu are banning any unnecessary travel, but still have people going to work and shopping.

I'm curious what keystones (ha) need to be met before the CCP rescinds these massive quarantines and how long it'll be until then.
