This post is one of fuckin' many. The fact that zoomer idiots on social media are legitimately willing to overlook China's horrible mistreatment of its people and the spread of the disease in order to farm sympathy points over perceived racism is fucking annoying.
There are so many asians on social media whinging non-stop about people allegedly taking a step back from them after they cough, or retweeting bullshit fairytale stories about evil whitey asking them whether or not they have the Wu Flu, and them doing some stupid "epic" diss back to them and having everyone clap because of it.
Nobody, no sane person above the age of 5, genuinely believes that each and every chinese person has the fucking coronavirus. Overly sensitive, narcissistic American-born asians really need to get over themselves, and stop thinking whenever people move away from someone who coughs or sneezes (especially during fucking flu season) that they've just been racially attacked.
No one wants to get sick, and everyone, especially those from China, are afraid of the coronavirus. If these whiny brats want to complain about others looking at them the wrong way after they cough, they really should see videos of cab drivers and passerbys beating the shit out of people from Wuhan, or the apartments of people from Wuhan being destroyed by other tenants. Go back to whining about ScarJo in GITS or Disney's Mulan more, thanks.
Most of these race card playing idiots have never even heard about Wuhan before the virus broke out.

I don't have much free time now and many of the articles are behind a paywall now (and I have to translate them from a language I barely understand) so here's the new recap from Brazil:

- The 34 Brazilean citizens already arrived to the quarantine camp. They were welcomed by the people with Brazilian flags and good wishes.
- All seem in good mood and good health, no symptoms. They will stay quarantined for 18 days.
- Some are Brazilian citizens, others are their spouses and children born there. I guess we're about to find out if it's true that it affects genetically Chinese people more.
- The rooms of the quarantine area have a few goods such as tv and entertainment. I haven't been able to read more, but I think they imply games. Odd bc they will be isolated, so I guess it's for the staff?
- The families arrived to the city, but they won't be allowed to see their relatives until the end of the quarantine.

God alone knows how awful it must be to work extended periods in full body gear. I’ve never done it for more than an hour or two, you must sweat like a bastard and dehydrate fast.
It’s no wonder the docs on the front line are dropping, I feel incredibly sorry for them.

I had to do two work weeks in full protective gear and a respirator during a bridge demolition once. The first week was the tail end of a heat wave and let me tell you, those suits were brutal. Long days in the hot sun or under hot steel and concrete high up in the air. The bird shit gets so caked onto this stuff that when you begin tearing things apart the shit effectively vaporizes. If you don't wear a clean suit you will come out of a shift looking and feeling like a plague patient. And we were allowed to back the lift off every so often and pop our suits open and drink water.

These guys are unable to crack their suits and unable to take a break to rest their bodies. You're looking at soldiers in a forgotten war when this is all said and done. Hopefully the Chinese public remember who was trying to save them, though I'm not very optimistic.
