Finally got around to watching the full Minecraft rant and holy shit. Just...holy shit.
First of all, he monologues for a full hour about how the detractors are horrible people who insult his family and his business, ruining his life through bad word of mouth. Immediately after, someone tips him and suggests that "he stops calling people idiots all the time." Phil immediately proceeds to thump his chest like a macho man and say,
"What, do we live in a pussy society where we can't insult each other?" while also claiming he's not thin-skinned.
I really didn't think Phil could manage to piss me off any more than he already has. I really didn't. That's not even touching on him trying to claim that he never said anything offensive in his time, or that his trolls "aren't trying to expose what a bad person he is, they're just Kojima fanboys."
Furthermore, why does he think it's such an elaborate conspiracy as to why he became so unpopular? Is it really that hard to believe that people don't find you appealing? He also shifts the goalpost to "you need to point out things he does daily in order to properly criticize him." Here's one: the disgusting noises he makes into his mic all the time. Or that scummy "30 minutes left in the stream, last chance if you wanna donate!" shit he always says.
My God, there's so much hypocrisy to unpack here. I might genuinely have a hernia.

Then after that when a fan asked why Phil couldn't stop talking about detractors for a month, he called the fan a moron and said he's allowed to talk about detractors all the time because even when they're not doing anything they're still a negative presence in his life. That made it obvious to everyone, if it wasn't already, that the challenge was made in extremely bad faith and he had no intention of ever giving the detractors credit even if it did happen. He flat out invented a situation where detractors couldn't win regardless of what they did and tried to spin it as him being "better than that." Phil resides in a warped reality where he can do no wrong, he's the perpetual victim, everyone is out to get him, the world has to cater to his needs and most important he's in complete control, so all of the disproportionate pissbaby rants done in response to perceived attacks on the world he's built are justified. The ego is massively fragile.

If you come up with anything as a reason to hate him he is going to find the tiniest reason to trying to disprove how wrong you have!

One of the few things i am willing to give Phil credit for is how hard he tries to avoid getting blamed for things that he actually does!

Completely off topic but fit for the general thread, I have a burning question about Phil that's been on my mind for months. If the detractors are so bad to him, taking all that money from him, why doesn't he just get their channel shut down? An infinitely smaller fish like LowTierGod routinely strikes channels down with ease. Why can't Phil do it? He always says he'd love to get back at them and sue them for defamation (LMFAO) but can't because he doesn't have the money and neither do the trolls.

Why isn't he able to take a single fucking detractor channel down? It's clearly very easy to do even at Phil's abysmally low effort level. Never heard him address the ridiculously OP take-down tools that YouTube gives slobs like him.

I'm not moving any goalposts, my first post said "he'd weasel out of taking responsibility" and that's exactly what he did in your video. Sorry you fail to understand that even after multiple people in the thread pointed it out to you. English isn't some magical language where you say something in it and it becomes a truth even if you directly contradict your statement before and after you say it. Context is king.

If I were to say "Yeah, what I'm about to say is a joke. I DID 9/11! Yep, just joking, hope you got that." and then someone said "This guy did 9/11 he admitted it!" they'd be totally misunderstanding the context of my statement and the real focus of what I'm saying. The same is happening here with Phil. All you're hearing is "It was wrong that I did it" but what you're missing is his countless excuses surrounding the admission in an attempt to dismiss/diminish the admission.

As for if he knows he's doing wrong: That was never up for debate. Of course he does. Narcissists know what they're doing is wrong, they just don't care and think they'll win. Don't need a half-hearted confession to know that.

I don't know, but he was definitely in Phil's inner circle. The story Phil told about how the kid was busy with a new job/school, and that he suddenly joined with detractor groups (SoK) fits AireaidLord a lot better. Maybe Phil is mixing these two up, who knows.

This makes me think Phil conflated AireaidLord and GamerJLee, because I think AireaidLord was local to DSP's area while it sounds like GamerJLee wasn't. Pretty sure AireaidLord even talked about visiting Phil's condo once. Not a big surprise that Phil's "example" was a mishmash of multiple things.

This sounds surreal enough to be a lie. Phil sitting down with someone to watch one of his playthroughs sounds like something he'd do with a captive woman, like Plinkett with Episode II, not a thing done as part of a husband and wife spending time together.

It's been mentioned, but Kat is apparently making Phil watch other (better) Youtubers' playthroughs now, which is absolutely hilarious because you know Phil hates every second.
