Paris (France) (AFP) - Egypt, Algeria and South Africa are at high risk of suffering from the deadly coronavirus, a study released Wednesday suggested.
The Lancet medical journal reported that the three African countries were at particular risk because of higher levels of travel and trade with China, where the COVID-19 virus first arose.

Egypt's health ministry announced last week the first confirmed case of the novel coronavirus in Africa -- a foreigner whose nationality was not revealed.
"African countries have recently strengthened their preparedness to manage importations of COVID-19 cases," said study author Dr Vittoria Colizza, of France's Sorbonne university.

These include temperature screening at ports of entry, recommendations to avoid travel to China and improved health information provided to health professionals and the general public.
However, she said "some countries remain ill-equipped" to deal with the threat and more needed to be done with surveillance and rapid identification of suspected cases, patient isolation and contact tracing.

While almost three-quarters of African countries have an influenza pandemic preparedness plan, most are outdated and considered inadequate.
Fortunately, Egypt, Algeria and South Africa have "the most prepared health systems in the continent", the report found.
The study suggested other countries -- among them Nigeria, Ethiopia, Sudan, Angola, Tanzania, Ghana and Kenya -- would all need support with detecting and handling imported cases of the coronavirus.
The new findings are from a modelling study estimating the preparedness and vulnerability of African countries, as well as their likelihood of importing COVID-19 cases from China.

That looks like even less of a "hospital" than the other one. The first one, as predicted, turned out to be a leaky piece of shit that couldn't withstand the first rainfall. I wonder how this one will fail.
It appears as if the Chinese authorities decided to take the more logical path and used an existing building rather than build something new. Those look like warehouses and seem to be more permanent in nature than the nine-day death camp.

And just like that the virus is gone lol

Viruses don't have a metabolism of their own really, so spraying people with fermented greywater won't "feed" the virus. It'll have no effect on the virus whatsoever.

Probably a good way of spreading plenty of bacterial contaminants, though.
Of course they don't have a metabolism. But why throw out more moisture, to continue to give it a healthy moist environment?. So they can also to increase fungal/mold growth, which will increase bacteria growth, which will increase virus growth because you are providing moisture to your surroundings? Also you know Viruses will piggyback on just about everything right? That is what I am referring too besides the joke.

I just got an email from something I "ordered" in November last year.
If I wouldn't visit the farms for news and Infos I would believe them. Should I be concerned?

at some point you just gotta wonder if WHO is actually just a death cult and they want to exterminate humanity. everything they've done since this whole thing started has been counter productive and been spreading misinformation.

You probably already figured this out being there but honestly, Singapore has world class hospital facilities and doctors. It's not like the rest of S.E. Asia. It's the only place in the entire region that's elimated malaria for example because those fuckers are organized, educated, clean, and smart as well as richand they are big on public health. Source: me, lived there for a bit a while back. I'd rather be in a Singaporean hospital than one in many places in the world, and that includes many first-world countries.

Well now I feel bad for calling it a shithole. Good for them! Taking into account their sociopolitical neughbors and geographical environment it is quite puzzling that they got this good.

Yeah, stuff like this is just going to reinforce the make a plague to save the earth elements of ELF, ALF and the other eco terrorists.

People who think ecoloons CAN make a bioweapon really don't know how hard it is to do so. Both in required materials, protocols to avoid killing yourself or the sample, and general knowledge, not to mention the time and test subjects required.

At worst they'd steal one, and get promptly fucked by its cure/vaccine. More likely, check out "neo sanyasa" as I keep mentioning. Then Imagine that, but even dumber.

I do find it funny than "spain's" cases all happened on the islands, and on both archipelago too. Now they just need to hit ceuta and melilla to get all non-iberian spanish territories. Pity it probably won't happen because those are military bases with little to no tourism. Every other map put the ball right on madrid but seen like that it just looks kinda silly.

Well IF prepared correctly any actual enzymes the biofactory might've generated would last longer than the moisture, which wouldn't last much longer than any alcohol. They'd basically just be spraying disinfectant by the gallon. Again, it's not without its side effects but taking into account the filth that must've started accumulating it might not be a bad idea. Note the "IF" though, it's important.

Over the past weeks I’ve noticed the supply of Chinese goods at my local grocery stores slowly diminishing till today where the only ones I could find were some cup noodles abandoned lonesome at the back of a shelf, I imagine it will be a lot slower in other areas but I live in a particularly remote area so that probably sped it up a bit.

They have started replacing the fresh produce section with labeled sections detailing if the product came from U.S, Mexico, Canada, or [insert local area here].

The produce was marked up too, not by much but it was noticeable, also there were many offbrand local products I have never seen before filling the gap where Chinese goods once lay, but the goods were barely touched despite being laid out for a few days, why?
Because they are too expensive and there are no cheaper alternatives, but those pesky smart shoppers will give in eventually: “Oh man this [insert food recipe here] needs [insert specified food item here] but I don’t want to three dollars for it when I usually pay two but it’s only three dollars and I really want it”.

But the thing is: No products from any other country can come even close to how cheap Chinese goods are- they have got underpaid, overworked and underfed slaves, child slaves, and unpaid prison labourers, all that good stuff you need to REALLY turn a heafty profit,
something Western and European markets could never compete with, with all they’re awful and expensive health and safety regulations, workers unions and watchdogs for a right to a fair pay and treatment, and open markets.

And then further down this line of thinking a thought creeped into my mind: Just how much would the governments of first world countries have to gain from unleashing a highly infectious bioweapon with a somewhat low leathality onto a foreign power that can produce goods at such a low cost that it’s almost ten times cheaper to ship them half way across the globe then producing them at home.

I’m still with the escaped Chink bioweapon theory, but if that ACE2 rumour about it being more infectious and leathal to Asians or the other rumor about it decreasing male fertility due to attacking cells in the testis turn out to be true I might open myself up to other possibilities due to both rumours being very interesting coupled with China’s abnormally large male population due to the “drop the second baby down the stairs if it’s a girl” law.

Sorry for the long spergy post, I just wanted to write some of my thoughts down and see them better on a webpage then in my head. :)

Also was wondering if any other Kiwis have noticed any other changes in their lives due to coronavirus-even small things, it’s interesting to hear and see it’s impacts, first or secondhand.
It’s all just so surreal, I hope it stays that way.

So TLDR is the CIA did it?

Worth reading a little about. Former British (and Dutch before that) colony with predominantly ethnic Chinese population that got independence via increments, and when it did, kept the English language and the basis of law and in fact promoted the English language as the primary language of education. They did this to be attractive and competitive in the business world, while also investing heavily in public education, establishing a manufacturing sector and taking a great interest in public health and housing. It;s quite interesting that the party that achieved independence - the PAP or People's Action Party was basically communist to begin with, but didn't really go full dumb stupid/genocidal commie the way that happened everywhere else but instead calmed down, adapted to the real world and found effective solutions to issues that were not purely ideology-based.

They also reclaimed a huge amount of swamp over time to extend the size of the island and build upon. It now has two official languages : Mandarin and English and is a global financial and business centre with a very high standard of living. It's cleaner than any US or European city in all respects and has very, very low crime and great public transport. The most you can accuse Singapore of is occasionally being kind of boring, like a huge, endless shopping centre, a bit prudish in certain respects (they tend to censor naughty bits out of films etc) and lacking certain freedoms such as the right to protest noisily in the street. Homosexuality is still illegal in the sense of male homosexual acts being illegal but you only risk arrest if you basically perform them in the street. I knew a lot of gays of both sexes there who were fine being who they were, and lived their lives without problems.

They also do stuff that makes some people cry, like caning for certain criminal offences, death penalty via hanging for drug crimes and if you immigrate even temporarily on a work visa, you can be picked to take a mandatory HIV test and chest x-ray for TB. Test positive for either disease and they deport you within 48 hours or so. I know this because I won that lottery myself when I worked there. The hospitals were beautiful though, and efficient, as were all the family type doctor practices I saw for various issues.

Depending on where you live. Consider telling your local gov representative to consider making a deal with spain. We're fucking giving our foodstuffs to the cattle here because EU restrictions on our farms have fucking destroyed our exports. That's what I was bitching about 2 posts ago, the EU made them even harsher even during the fucking coronavirus. My friend's father has a small farm and he's literally adding his veggies and even olives to prepared cat food for the local strays 'cause at least that way it doesn't end up feeding bacteria in the countryside. We literally have too much god damned food thanks to Merkel and that french fuck.

To my understanding, they were able to claw their way out of the 3rd world by basically being an authoritarian government. It's like the one country to my knowledge where littering and spitting can result in a fine or a caning.

Asian efficiency is a result of a culture where the needs of the state comes before your own. You can see it even in Japan, a country people look to as the model of efficiency, where people kill themselves over careers or drop out of society all together to avoid being a wage drone.

This is just my opinion, but I can't for the life of me think of a successful Asian country without some kind of fucked up system to maintain order.
