- She conflates "fan service" with the whole "mirrors" concept that Lucas likes and "things that exist in the universe". Using a bantha horn isn't fan service because that's what people know, that's just a thing in the universe. This extends to Kylo's new, eviler mask with its own breathing apparatus-y attachment. Even if it was fan-service, It's Kylo Ren, a fanBOY. I dunno, maybe I'm just being picky about this.
- She's aware of the Darksaber "from the cartoon" then goes on to say "well maybe all the Knights of Ren will use darksabers", so that was either a little quip or she doesn't know how significant a Knight of Ren having the Darksaber is. THEN near the end of the script, she acknowledges one of the Jedi Forms so that's weird to me.
- "I don't like typo-shaming but there's like a LOT of typos did you even proofread this?" It was a leaked draft, calm down.
- She doesn't like that this version of Hux tries to use the Force in regular settings like... literally any person who's obsessive about a skill they don't have. I can't help but think that it's the rough equivalent of trying to sing when you're by yourself absently because it's something you wish you could do. Just because we the audience is in the room with him doesn't mean HE knows that. He's by himself, he can try to use the Force if he wants whenever he wants. She also doesn't like the lack of nuance in that scene. Given her lack of understanding basic stuff in Joker, maybe a lack of nuance wouldn't be unappreciated to the average film-goer, especially if they're non-Star Wars normies.
- Okay so she has NO problem with Luke in the Last Jedi but for some reason, his ghost making snipes at Kylo Ren about how he's made bad decisions and rejecting/disowning him as a Skywalker at the end of the script, to her, is "too out of character for Luke". That point was especially hypocritical to me. I hated her input on that.
- She compares the end where Rey draws strength from her relationships to My Little Pony because that concept hasn't been done anywhere before so that wasn't unexpected but still just a little eye-rolling.
