There was a group of conservative posters until the late 2000s. They had to have a thick skin, but to their credit, they stuck around and mostly stood their ground. Cessna and Darren ended up becoming the most embarrassing born-again SJWs, while the rest were gradually taken down, or left on their own volition. There were some great guys there, like Darth Tang, a hardass cop with a bunch of funny and informative stories about law enforcement. Today, he'd be banned on sight as a fascist goon, but at the time, he was a minor forum star.

Makes sense. I stopped visiting sometime around '04, when the Bush hatred was getting into full swing. Eyebeams would occasionally post new threads asking if they'd found WMDs in Iraq yet. As bad as it was even then, I never imagined it would reach the depths of lunacy they've plumbed the last few years. What turned Cessna and Darren? I remember their posts being pretty cogent.

No idea about Darren, but Cessna was part of that apartment-sharing arrangement (his black GF was also a mod for a while), and they gradually turned him. He had to eat some crow to apologize for being a horrid right-winger (there was an instance when he self-banned himself for two weeks for internalized homophobia - okay, a gay joke).

Generally, the modclique is a lot more tight-knit and incestuous than you would expect from a forum. I was surprised when it somehow came out that a bunch of them were not only IRL friends, they were actually living together in one place.

Wow. I knew they had their own clubhouse on Facebook, but that's wild. Would you post a few screenshots to prove some of this?

This is all ages old gossip (8-10 years), mainly from TheRPGSite, RPGNet's bitter ex-BF. I never occurred me to screenshot it at the time (now I wish I had), but you might still find some of it in their archives, which are intact going back to 2006. I think this thread had some choice intel from one of their ex-mods.

Curt was the mod they could not kick out, and Alexandria was the GF, but I can't find a screenshot for that.

Calling someone a Nazi doesnt tip them in nazidom, what it does do is immediatly kill the conversation stone dead. It's pretty much the same as when someone calls you a libtard or somesuch-all you're really saying is "I'm dumber than you and nothing I say carries any clout." Which is quite accurate for RPG forums when I think on it.

Calling utter BS on this post and her having a newborn baby at all. Also I'll take it on the chin that she's joking about the genius thing but knowing she's a liar who fakes shit doesn't give me confidence that she doesn't actually mean it as a joke.

Two weeks after my newborn I was still a zombie mental state with sleep deprivation and worrying about the baby twenty four seven. I couldn't sleep for worrying about cot death and checking him every twenty minutes to make sure he was still breathing and okay. (First rate paranoid worrying I realise) I wailed in the third week because I was so tried and just wanted sleep which is why I now understand why sleep deprivation is a torture method. I made zero sense and the last thing I could do/wanted to do was sperg on the internet in my so called freetime. It was sleeping. I slept. When that baby's eyes closed so did mine because that's the only time I had to sleep properly without interruption of changing and feeding. The cloister effect thing is real after a baby - you don't much feel like talking to anyone, either. You are full on focused on making sure the baby is okay and dealing with a lot of hormone changes as your body returns to normal. And pain. A lot of goddamn pain if you had tearing.

Does nobody, not even mods care this bitch be lying? Or they just gonna sweep it under the rug so she can bask in the asspats for lying?

I'm guessing one of the mods tipped her off when they nuked the announcement thread so "haha my two week old infant deleted my twitter" is just a paper thin excuse for damage control.

Lol mods don't care. Only thing that would get them to step in is if she was trying to scam funds from rpg.net posters to pay for diapers and formula.
