I'm genuinely at a loss with Moviecob on this.
First, I don't base my movie watching on what a studio "projects" they're gonna make. That's ludicrous. I know Bob's using it as a base to go say "Well it's only under preforming because they shot the moon, not because it's a bad product heh heh heh I is smert" but projections are merely predictions of what they think they'll make and when members of the cast tell around half of the population of the planet that the movie's not for them (you know, the half of the population that makes up the overwhelming majority of movie goers) well I can't see how they're gonna make much of anything at that point. In all seriousness, maybe there's a real reason to bring it that Bob's not making clear or I lack the ability to see, but it's coming off as the same kind of strawmanning he does when he tells a more popular youtuber "Well we're both beat by Korean box openers/mukbangers/fill in the blankers". I'm hammering on this because it leads to my second point.
Secondly, Cob, you owned moron, you just described Deadpool. Remember Deadpool nerdy pop-culture guy supreme? The super violent, highly vulgar movie that came out on Valentine's Day weekend? The movie that didn't insult it's core audience by changing fundamental things about the characters for sake of being progressive and having the attitude of "lol who hurt you honey?"? The movie that the studio didn't have much faith in with the low budget which is a fourth wall breaking joke that is said directly to the camera? The movie based on a character that the only way people not knee deep in comics would know about is from the laughable/hated movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine?
Lastly, please Cobert, regale me with the story about how a February opening, when it's only competition is the Sonic movie a week later, for an R-rated franchise starter (it's not even a starter, it's an offshoot of Suicide Squad but whatever) is a bad thing when we have the precedence of Deadpool costing $58 million and making $782.6 million. Maybe it isn't "sloppy and irresponsible management you rambling buffoon that has harmed the movie. Maybe it's just a shit product that nobody wanted, nobody asked for, and nobody cared enough to make it worth watching.

Excuse me, I'm on the slow train. What "research the comics" mean when he's already said "nobody buys DC comics except nazi incels who hate women so much they can't even get off on girl on girl anymore" and the characters are so far removed that even massive comic spergs can't recognize who most of them are without nametags?
Basically "Yeah., boss, I bought every Nintendo system to research for our Mario movie. It's all shit so I'm thinking we make a movie about an Irishman teaching disabled African refugees baseball. No, it's fine, we'll give him a red hat so it's close enough". Like what is anyone supposed to take away from this? What is "research" if you scrap basically everything?
