Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

Bernie actually probably could fight well against The Donald. Just like he probably would have done better against Trump in 16 - or at least would have actually campaigned in the Rust Belt, the states in which voted for Trump under the slimmest of margins. But that's why he won't win, because the Dems WANT to lose so that they can keep getting their money from their paypigs, money to set up "ngos" where they can install their people.

Enh, I just don't think the dude has the energy or the pizzazz to go toe-to-toe with a shitpost master like Trump. For one thing he's really dedicated to his fake "common man" aesthetic, which has him doing stuff like making donation plea videos that look like they were done on a street corner with a camcorder. It's all theater, of course, same as the evangelical minister coming out with his hair artfully disheveled and part of his shirt deliberately untucked to look like he was communing with the scripture right up until the very moment he needed to be at the pulpit. But he can't maintain that and go up against Trump's very slick, very polished PR machine... he ditches it, he starts losing support from his fans that like the "poor little old grandpa just trying to help America" aesthetic as their sole real investment in him, he keeps it and the Trump Machine rolls right over him (and maybe finally smooths out that fucking hair).

You're right that he probably would campaign harder and more than Hillary "Why Bother, It's My Turn" Clinton, but then he'd probably have another heart attack from the stress all that travel would put on him.

Bernie just also isn't a solid debater. He looked fine in 2016, but only relative to Hillary. The first debate this season that was actually a debate, he had some decent hits scored on him by fucking Bloomberg of all people, who was legendarily underprepared. Trump's debate performances in 2015 were what gave him the momentum he needed to win the primaries.
Also something to keep in mind, Bernie might do better with organic support, but even if he manages to get some of the DNC to shill for him, he's not going to have the same machine that Hillary had and STILL lost with.

Potholer is a lunatic and shouldn't be trusted to tell anyone the truth. Monckton may have inflated his role in Thatcher's government but he was right about Greenland. There has not been a major loss of icepack on Greenland's ice sheet since the Medieval period. Since satellite measurements of ice thickness began in the early to mid 1970s, Greenland has never lost ice. The lowest ice gain was 38 billion tons in 2011-2012, with every other year resulting in a net gain of at least more than 180 billion tons of ice per year and an average of 350 billion tons per year. Using those satellite measures here is a table of the surface mass balance (ice added minus ice removed by all processes, including glacial calving) in Greenland, which look like this:

There was a slight decline in the growth of Greenland ice, but no melting at all, let alone severe melting like the news would have you believe.

I spoilered my post so as not to derail too much, but you've got to take a critical eye to that stuff especially from "debunkers." You should know from this thread how much cognitive dissonance people can get in their heads to let them attack anyone with a view outside the global media consensus.
So you chose to ignore reading his easily linked to and cited sources, tried to attack the man on himself with no evidence to back him up, and then on top of that tried downplaying how much of a liar Monckton is and how cagey he personally is with his sources since he debunks himself when he does give them, which was one of the videos given.

Okay, I got your reading on the scenario, what you agree with, and I'm not a big fan of the patronizing tone that you're giving me since I made it damn clear that the Green Millenarians are stupid on more than one occasion. I know where it's going. Cutting off this waste of life energy now.

So how is Warren's plan for getting the Dem nomination working out? Not so good, huh? But I'm sure her coronavirus plan is better... /sneed

Given that pandemics are hard to contain and entitled Chinese people are trying to sneak in without checking in, I think we're doing a decent job of putting up a quarantine. We're still one of the more infected countries, but only on par with say Germany and not Japan (which has hundreds of cases to ours and the Deustchland's dozens).

Also it's easy to pretend you have a plan while the actual plan would be rejected by this same bitch. That plan? Cutting off travel and forcing them away.

If he's a lunatic has Potholer done anything lolcow-worthy? Maybe you should make a thread detailing it.

I'd agree, since unlike say Thunderf00t, he's been somewhat better about concealing any lunacy as far as I can tell. If he's done crazy, that'd be interesting to see.

You can really tell that someone's parents never loved them by the way they dot their eyes.
I love how they just keep looping back on previous things to bitch. I can't wait until they scream about what type of candy he eats next.

I mean I'm not familiar with the website at all like I said it just came up while searching for that segment. Is it wrong though?

Edit: a little run-off from the Bernie Bro thread that didn't quite fit.

I notice pseudo-intellectual types love using the word "existential" when it doesn't need to be used at all.

First, big :optimistic: on the "In 2021, after Trump is gone" part. Sounds like someone is already in Shillary "97% odds of winning" mode. Reminds me of the calendars I've seen where they're counting down the days until Trump's presidency is over, assuming that he's going to lose. I'd pay good money to see their faces the first time they look at those calendars if Trump wins reelection.

Second, correct me if I'm misunderstanding, but is he trying to equate Trump supporters with the scumbags in the Deep State that have been working to thwart Trump since before the election even happened? Sounds like this is a response to Trump's recent firing of Obama holdovers and cleaning house (like he probably should have day one, but eh). Key difference there, Mark: one group has documented evidence of working against their president for no reason other than spite, while the other is just a hypothetical fever dream.
