So apparently DSP got a tip suggesting that he make meals from home instead of eating out and DSP called the guy stupid and said that eating out costs the same as making food at home. DSP was also clearly talking about sit down restaurants because he said that he doesn't get appetitizers or desserts.

Just one more, albeit small, puzzle piece as to why he can't manage money.

If it instantly results in him making progress in a game, or gets him money, you'll get prayer hands and he'll latch on to it, saying things like "Thank God I did X, can you imagine if I DIDN'T?" Later on your idea becomes his idea and you'll never be credited again.
If your feedback doesn't result in instant success he'll hold a grudge against you forever, insulting your intelligence and wonder why you even bothered talking to him.

Also, if you like a game that DSP doesn't, you're just a fanboy who refuses to see the truth. There's no way DSP can be wrong.

TBF, he buys the prepackaged shit which costs a lot more. Frozen prepared costs more than fresh assemble, cut, cook yourself stuff.

He also buys the most expensive stuff or overpriced kits and could never consider buying reduced for quick sale or clearance stuff. He schedules his meals so he could use that within a day or two.

DSP’s logic of “if you disagree with the issues I have, you’re a fanboy” is how he explains why other streamers and gamers don’t notice the same problems he does.
If you don’t constantly corner yourself against a wall while keeping your camera locked on to an enemy, you’re a shill, dood.
Remember, in Phil’s mind, he’s “brutally honest”, and any negative opinion is inherently true.
Also, I’ve noticed that Memeology has been uploading a lot faster lately. Seems the Pig is giving him a lot more content to work with. This courthouse stress is showing his true nature.

DSP has been pretty consistent over the years in blaming "bad game development" because he'll put himself into unwinnable positions and then yell that "there's was nothing he could do!" The idea that DSP should have done something different a minute prior has never occurred to him except when it's some secret item that he missed and then he'll yell at game devs again for not making it more obvious.

I wonder how much of the earth-shatteringly stupid shit he says he actually believes. Surely he doesn't genuinely believe this. Phil's nature is to immediately react with a denial and/or a contradiction, no matter what you say - he'll just say what he thinks makes him look good at any given moment and deals with the consequences later. He's just happy to lie if it means he gets to shut down someone calling him out.

On the other hand, he's incredibly spoiled and has never really had to learn the value of money. Even when he was living in da ghetto he was still going to private school, living off his parents, or running up thousands in credit card debts. He's used to big spending, so I wonder if he genuinely can't distinguish between buying ingredients for $4 to cook at home and paying $40-50 each to eat out. Like he thinks that $36 difference (conservative estimate I know) is so small it's not even worth thinking about.

Considering he is on record saying:
1) The $400/month (now $364) he makes on Patreon is basically nothing
2) Renting the CT condo and earning a few extra hundred a month wasn't worth the hassle

I think we know the answer to that question.
