Inactive Andrew Dobson / Tom Preston / CattyN - STOP DOING SEXIST CRAP

Dont think Ive ever seen that one. My brain went to Blade, cause its the 1st I can remember.
Well, Meteor Man was an unsuccessful comedy that was an original property (oddly it did get a limited Marvel series after the fact) and Blade was a successful, well-liked film with multiple sequels. It's a fair assumption to make.

I don't even get why tumblr is creaming their jeans so hard over the movie. They act like it's a blessing from the femininity gods and every woman should be grateful for it being made. It was an average movie and, if I'm being frank, painfully overrated- it winning anything wouldn't be this massive win for women like the article seems to imply. There's a thousand more women-centric movies out there that deserve those wins more than this does.
Oh come on, it's obvious why. "Muh REPRESENTATION of WAMEN. SO MANY WAMEN ON SCREEN!" But the funny thing is, nobody had to turn male characters female or anything; this is how the book went as far as who was a wamen. And the book was written by a wamen. But the point of the book was NOT "Muh representation". It didn't have to be. And that's what these tumblrites are missing.

Dobson reblogs a thing about who worked on what CN/Disney show after they all worked on Flapjack:

Okay, I don't get what this graph even supposed to change. Yeah, some of the shows on this list are pretty cool and damn fun (for me would be Gravity Falls and Regular Show mostly) and some were just okay and enjoyable. But, again what's the point?

I'm thinking someone's a little jealous.

someone made the graph probably for the purposes of "See all these cool shows you like? All these people started making this other show hardly anyone knows about! Look at all the stuff they worked on! LOOK AT IT!" Definitely an autistic pursuit, given that some of these shows, like OK KO, and Regular Show, have character designs too unappealing for the story to redeem it IMO.

People who work in the animation industry have worked on multiple projects over the years. This is shocking and cool to people who have never held a steady job.

Flapjack was pretty unceremoniously axed along with chowder when cartoon network made its ill fated journey into live action. A lot of animation spergs cite flapjack for being a breeding ground of talent for the later resurgence in western animation. It could also be looked at as how insular the animation industry is if you wanted to be cynical, but I personally agree that there was a lot of talent that ended up coming out of that show. Really the only notable things on here are the immediate ones like adventure time, regular show, and Gravity falls and the rest just being the natural progress of show creators being promoted internally and such. You could make a similar looking graph if you went back and did it with Dexters lab.

Dobson finally mentions the "harassment" via a posting on his post about the King animation on FB:

Haha and it’s only gotten about 30+ notes on Tumblr, too. I can just picture him eagerly posting that mediocre loop expecting tons of notes and exaggerated asspat reactions and he can’t even crack a measly hundred with it. And he whines about it taking a week? Bitch, barring the time you had to stop to feed your sloppy fat face with McDonalds and sleep to dream about inflatable lesbians, that probably took you eight hours tops.
