I watched Quarter Pounders stream Ethan, he may be alot of things but his certainly not a fighter (a tranny already proved that). He correctly pointed out that google search results for Comicsgate were flat, backer numbers were down, less money was being made and your views and subscriber count was stagnant (which is probably why you hid your subscriber number on your channel).
There is clearly less interest in Comicsgate now, whether its from infighting, egos, poor quality products, year long delays in fulfillment or people just moving onto the next online fad (see Weeb Wars) the decline is obvious to kindergarten children who can do simple math.
6413 backers (Godking) is less than 10619 backers (Lost Souls).
Even an established IP like the Expendables has less backers at the moment compared to the first Iron Sights, unless just under a thousand new backers appear out of nowhere while its in demand, but the truth is The Expendables should have smashed Iron Sights numbers and probably should have beat Jawbreakers also. Even your Unfroggetable Tales the first Cyberfrog product that wasn't a variant cover of your original campaign is struggling at 1300.
This whole drama with Cridious certainly won't do CG any favors going forward either. This first official scam of Comicsgate, who was recommended and promoted on your livestreams. What do you think that will do for the next unknown small creator who appears on your show? To be perfectly honest I would have rather'd Preston buy Detective Dead off of him, what the hell should anyone be scared of? They would have got a product they had paid for, Cridious would have had his debts wiped and maybe enough cash left over to make his life easier. Whats the worst thing that would have happened? If Preston did do something with that customer information, his crowdfunding days would be over and his reputation would have been destroyed. Although if he did dox Ro, Pan Boy and the rest of your merry band of faggots, I certainly wouldn't have shed any tears for them. I'd piss myself laughing instead.
The decline of ComicsGate might be true! It might well be that the fury of 2018 is at an end, and some people have moved on to other things. Could be for any or all of the reasons you offer.
So what remains? What's left is Zack selling 6500 copies of G0D K1NG. Or grossing $200K on a book with Sly Stallone on an IP that barely sold 500 copies last year.
What remains is CYBERFROG reprints from 1994 due to bring in $125,000. (it isn't struggling, dude. It's miraculous.) And thousands of backers lined up for advance notification about CYBERFROG 2.
Middle sized campaigns are now comfortably bringing in $20-40K. YouTube personalities like Raging Golden Eagle are topping $60K in the first 24 hours of funding.
And all of this without being hounded and tortured by Mark Waid and the Portland Mafia. It's actually been kinda nice.
Google search results are down as a consequence of not being persecuted in the Leftist media anymore. My channel is stagnant because it became a livestreaming only channel for 6 straight months. I pulled the sub count down, stopped streaming regularly, started producing 10 minute quickies, and it's growing again. Quartering was right.
re: Cridious, absolutely correct. It's very discouraging. He stole from his backers and this will affect people's trust in small campaigns for awhile. As for Preston buying it, nobody agreed to let Preston Poulter have their personal data. It's a security breach and a breach of ethics to even consider selling that info to him. Preston could buy the project and re-solicit donations, but buying backers data is a no-go.
The fate of ComicsGate as a indie network depends on where we go from here. How good our stuff is, how quickly we can deliver it, and how we adapt to these changes. But I'm pretty confident. CYBERFROG is a spiffy book. The sequel is a knock out.
