Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

Texas Furry Fiesta just happened. Over 5,000 furries, well known for their hygiene, gathered from around the world to mill around in a hotel, fuck all weekend, and run around downtown Dallas visiting all the restaurants and tourist spots. A good number would have passed through DFW Intl. Airport going there and back. Once the event ended, several could be seen taking to Telegram to say "hey guis did anyone else get the ol' con crud, coof coof uwu".

Well that would seem to be a mixed blessing. I mean the thought of all those ... furries ... getting tragically ill is just so... so... horrifying? On a positive note they probably wont be able to spread it to to many others that aren't furies. I mean normies already treat them as plague carriers.

Not sure if this was brought up

This is essentially what I've been saying in an earlier post. It's ridiculous in itself that it's taking a goddamn plague for them to stop and think about how their societal practices of working their fingers through the bone 24/7 might not be such a good idea, but nonetheless it's that silver lining that good things are coming from this whole virus mess.

Honest question, how long until both the emotional far left and the zealous far right turn their ire towards the Chinese in general? By the end of the year I'm sure there will be more than a few thousand people on each side that will have lost a loved one to something that China effectively unleashed onto the world.

Are we about to witness the rebirth of racism in the US the likes of which we haven't seen since 9/11?

Travis AFB update

Get a load of what they're having the airmen in the base hospital wear.

If you look this make and model up, you'll find that it's been discontinued a little over a year ago. That's right. Hospital staff, after a hard lesson the other day regarding potential exposure, are being given leftover, inferior, phased-out, possibly expired(?) trash as PPE. I'm not shocked at all. I was shocked before I found this out, when I thought the military was suddenly 'doing something at least 'slightly right' by providing "new" masks. Where did they even dig these up all of a sudden?

"Product Discontinuation effective December 31, 2018"

Where's the reset button, I'll press it my own damned self.

Related: Hospital staff that interact with patients are to dispose of their masks after each patient. Patients however, can wear the same one indefinitely.
EDIT: The current model masks were all taken away when this discontinued batch was brought in. I'm quite certain that the current, proper masks are for the brass and their families only.

You're confused that the Military has a stockpile of disposable goods that the manufacturer only discontinued a year ago? I've seen them handing out cases of sterile gauze that's been on the shelf since the Korean War. I can't find anything to indicate that these masks are defective, or that were recalled or discontinued due to a problem. Probably just a newer design. While not ideal for use in surgery, as long as they were stored properly they would seem to be fine for normal non sterile use.

That's kind of interesting. If there is one place in the US you would both expect to see it, and expect to see it first, it would be Hawaii.

Hopefully not late, but it took me forever to find the list of drugs that the Indians are restricting from exporting.

If someone could upload the .pdf as well that would be stellar. So far the ones kn the list seem to be antibiotics, birth control, or pain relievers.

I have a feeling that won't last more than a day. As much as there is pressure on India to keep any medical supplies to themselves. There will also be an overwhelming long term pressure, that if they cut off supplies now, the US and other Western Nations will simply repatriate their pharmaceutical production and bankrupt the Indian Pharma industry. The highly profitable Indian Pharma industry will be lobbying hard to not let this happen. Simply because the local government sure as shit isn't going to pay them for all the pills.

Meanwhile people in this country are laughing at other countries too with reckless abandon and calling anyone who does what we did to the people of Wuhan racist against Chinese. It fills me with fury and with rage.

My mother now has a coronavirus patient! It will be interesting to hear how it goes. She's pretty blase about it.

What I am concerned about is that my government's medicine shortage website lists nothing new in terms of shortages: when in fact today I learned there are now at least a couple very important medications that are no longer available from pharmacy suppliers. Hopefully this is a "demand side" and not a supply side problem?

Well at the nearby Wally World (Walmart) I could not find any Lysol disinfectant. SO MY FELLOW KIWI BRETHREN. Here's what I use instead on more soiled areas.

#1. Spray bottle. 70% or higher rubbing alcohol content. 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of Artificial Vanilla flavor extract.
NOTE: Smells nice and does the job. I generally use 91% rubbing alcohol around food. 70% is fine, just let it sit on the surface a minute or two longer. and it will do the job. I Also use the Vanilla spray in my clothing hamper as nobody wants to smell the funk of dirty clothes after awhile.

#2. Spray Bottle. 1 part cheap ass bleach to 10 parts water. I use this on door knobs, floors, and other surface areas that are not used in food preparation. Reason is that there are just too many REEEEEtards out there that will fuck up the ratios and will poison themselves in the process.

#3 Vinegar and salt on really bad greasy surface areas around the stove. Otherwise use your Alcohol spray bottle.

And please for God sakes. LABEL THE SPRAY BOTTLES AND ITS HOW IT IS MADE. I've seen too many snowflakes today and I feel dirty now. The REEEtardation of general society where I live in reared its ugly snowflake head... making the Millennial stereotype fucking real. I can only stand so much stupidity before I go all Southern on them.

Anyhow Stay Clean and Stay safe.

Microsoft and Amazon just announced employees will work from home through the end of the month. Finally, some sanity.

We should see the schools in those areas probably shut down soon as a result too.

Was basically inevitable. Without self-doxing or blogging too much: I'm not currently at amazon or microsoft, but my company which is fairly intertwined with them has been wiffling and waffling all this week in their status updates.

Of course I was already working from home because fuck you try and stop me bitch.

Anyways, just like clockwork, I just got the word on company email. The big boys really do set the tempo for the rest, especially the many consulting companies that serve as their fodder. Hoping it kicks off a larger cascade of other companies to follow their lead, at least for March.

It's 1 part bleach to 3 parts water to disinfect surfaces (full strength for cutting boards, counters and sinks that come in contact with raw meat). If you can't find Lysol Hexol is good too. My granny used it and it's still available at Walmart and Walgreens.

BNO reports the LA death is linked to another cruise ship, the Grand Princess, where CDC recently identified a cluster

That ship is setting sail for San Francisco 👍

Update: CA Gov says slow the boat homie, y'all have the wuflu. Boat held offshore, tests being flown out. 21 people have symptoms, including 10 crew (CDC calls this a "small cluster" lol). But the damage is already done:

A San Francisco-based cruise ship carrying more than 3,000 people is being held off the California coast as officials begin testing passengers for coronavirus after learning that two former passengers of the ship tested positive for COVID-19.

The two former passengers were on the ship between Feb. 11 and Feb. 21 for a cruise to Mexico. When the ship returned to the Port of San Francisco, they — along with nearly all of the 2,500 passengers — disembarked and headed home. The two former passengers were later diagnosed with COVID-19. One, a Placer County resident, died Wednesday.

Emphasis mine. We all know there are more than two cases from that 2/11-2/21 cruise spreading it around on land, especially if the crew had it. There were also 62 passangers who stayed aboard spreading the love at sea. Literal floating plague incubators.

This is Diamond Princess meets Korean death cult levels of spread. Will the cruise industry continue to serve up these coronachan hot spots unabated or will their shit get shut down? I would love to see boomers riot over cruise cancellations tbqh.

I see this and think, given what I see any given day from US officials in general that all you all in other countries are totally screwed because if your lower than the US clown show just what kinda circus do you have.

my country's not even on that list 👌

What the fuck is mask gonna do. Just take the corona in your ass like a boss.

wait, corona-chan is a futanari?

you know what, I can see it.

No Corona-chan r34, am dissapoint.

did you miss the dicking she gave the chinese?

I finally got clips boyeos! Yesterday I asked a family member to record this mornings news related to our glorious chinese waifu. I didn't expect them to literally point a camera at the screen, In fact I asked them because they had one of those screen recording thinga. but they sure did! Quality aside, here's the clips.

Also small clarification. It's not the healthcare mynistry closing up reunions, just the nursing school. I already mentioned what they're eoing dunno why the news got it wrong.

Further, ultrakek at the football fucks getting assblasted. God I hate them. So glad they're eating shit. And kekamundo at the church taking measures! Jebus that's really fucking incredible. I mean. You wanna know how hard dealing with the churxh is? The expression here in spain for when you just aren't allowed to do something definitely and with no recourse is "con la iglesia hemos topado", translated "we collided with the church". Yeah they were the OFFICIAL STATE RELIGION until like 4 legislatures ago and still take a chunk of our taxes, they are not used to being told to actually obey the law.

Finally. Don't believe Murcia has no cases. It reported none but Murcia is a fairly rural area with little commerce and less tourism and they've always been fairly closed and set on their ways, they probably haven't even actually tested anyone. As for ceuta and melilla. I know for a fact those guys weren't even send tests yet. So yeah news anchor, if you don't test for a virus you don't find it, go figure!

First death in California is in my area. I can just picture the crowds fighting over baby wipes and bleach at Walmart.
Make sure you post the Links you Roseville faggot.
Rocklin Resident Becomes First Coronavirus Fatality in California

ROSEVILLE (CBS13) – One person has died in Placer County of the coronavirus. It’s the first confirmed death related to the disease in California and just the 10th in the U.S.

The county health department says the person was a critically ill older adult resident of Rocklin who was likely exposed to the virus on a Princess cruise ship that left from San Francisco to Mexico. According to a cruise ship spokesperson, the patient was a 71-year-old man.

That same cruise is associated with a coronavirus case in Sonoma

“While we have expected more cases, this death is an unfortunate milestone in our efforts to fight this disease, and one that we never wanted to see,” said Placer County Health Officer Dr. Aimee Sisson in a statement about the patient’s death.
The patient had been in isolation at the Kaiser

California Gov. Gavin Newsom released a statement following the patient’s death.
“This case demonstrates the need for continued local, state and federal partnership to identify and slow the spread of the virus,” Gov. Newsom said.
Health officials say the patient had “minimal community exposure” from the time they had returned from the cruise ship to when they arrived at the hospital on Feb. 27.
As a result of their contacts with the patient, 10 Kaiser Permanente healthcare workers and 5 emergency responders have been put in quarantine. None of them are showing symptoms of the virus, health officials say.

Placer County’s first confirmed case of coronavirus was announced Monday. That person is a worker at the NorthBay VacaValley Hospital in Vacaville who had been in close contact with a woman who was later transferred to another hospital.
The county’s second confirmed case of the virus was announced the next day. This second case was the patient who officials said died on Wednesday.
Health officials stress that handwashing and other basic steps that minimalize exposure are the best ways to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
Gov. Newsom held a briefing at 4 p.m. regarding the state’s response to the coronavirus.

>Old man, prior health conditions
>recently on a cruise ship
>possibly infected 6 other people before hospitalization

If Roseville has been hit it most certainly means Sacramento's got it too. I'm in Elk Grove right now and I thank God that volunteering at the Chinese New year last month didn't kill me. Unfortunately, all that meant was Corona-Chan was busy in LA before finally coming here to play.

One of the more worse scenarios I can think is that Corona-Chan will be spreading her legs out for the local homeless population. The density of hobo and druggies out here isn't as bad as down south but It's definitely comparable. From what you guys have been saying about Frisco's homeless becoming a powerful catalyst for a pandemic, I'm worried it'll be the same for here.

The Asian community is pretty sizable here as well, which means we have a very big chink of people here fairly susceptible to the virus too, myself unfortunately included. People around aren't doomsday prepping but it has definitely got them scared. It doesn't help that the same Asian community has plenty of even more vulnerable elderly too.

I pray that none of you fuckers gets raped by Corona-Chan. I know you did the same for me last time and I am really thankful for it. But all you and I can do for now is wait and see if the apocalypse comes or not.
