I don't usually watch television news but I was listening out to see how they were covering it and I heard absolutely nothing but election talk.

I know what you mean. People are still bringing up politics instead of making informative updates on the virus. I don't give a shit if they hate Trump or like him. I don't want to see people sperging about Trump when there's more important things to talk about. It's beyond old already.

The best reporting I've seen is NHK in Japan. They summarize their updates and don't mention politics.

How the fuck was this consistently spread to so many people in one facility?? Forget the fact they're old and sick (staff got infected too), how unsanitary was this place to begin with? How many rules and regulations were being broken on a daily basis? I've had family members in nursing homes and I know the kind of people that they'll hire. The bottom line is, this was spread A LOT, it's the employee's responsibility to protect the patients and instead they exposed them. I hope someone will be held responsible for this but I highly doubt that will happen.
How about that staff member that was hospitalized at Overlake Hospital earlier this week....

Most of the people were probably infected before the first one kicked. They've seen plenty of people carry it a week or more with just minor or no symptoms suddenly turn bad. Hell, a few days of working while showing no symptoms would be enough time to infect most facilities, not counting that each person you infect in the facility will be doing the same till they show. If every person working and living there isnt infected I'd be shocked.

The hospitals are woefully unequipped and people who allegedly are having really bad symptoms have rang the national line and have been told "Oh just self isolate you'll be grand"

The virus is currently in every province of the country and the government is refusing to officially say where even though local papers are announcing it.

The CDC and local state departments have demonstrated the absolute bullshit infallibility complex the US health service has. In South Korea they did more tests in a week than we've done the whole time.

Perhaps the CDC and WH should have imported the test kits from China or South Korea seeing as theirs actually seem to work. Even here they don't have the capacity to test every test kit that has even been issued, it would be quicker to FedEx them to South Korea or China to get a result.

Only about 2,000 tests have been carried out in the USA and we're getting about a 10% hit rate. I know of 3 cases where I live where the patients are in critical condition (not responding to antivirals etc.) with completely unexplained pneumonia and the doctors aren't testing for coronavirus but yet don't know the microbe that suddenly struck these 3 people - working in the same building!!!

It is almost like they want to slow the testing down so they can down-play how many cases there really are here in the US. It's a total fucking mess.

At this stage, countries should be barring Americans from landing. Ironically, it might be Mexico closing the border to us instead.
