That would be pretty irrational IMO considering that H1N1 originated from the USA and no one in their right mind would or should blame Americans for not knowing better. Of course the scope was far smaller.

Also the act of intentionally hiding the virus through fever suppressants or other means just to get out of a city or on a plane to some other country is met with utter ridicule and disgust both online and in the real world, even in China. Autists in China have been finding and doxxxxing these fuckwits, reporting them to officials. This is a criminal act in China. No one is endorsing it.

Doing so won't just make the virus go away. We have to point the fingers at the right people -- officials of Wuhan and to a greater extent, the entire province of Hubei for their negligence, the many fuckwits that intentionally spread the virus, and other incompetent shitbags of various kinds across the globe.

I personally think China's response has been alright. They haven't been that transparent in decades, though obviously I think it's not enough and major platforms are still censorious as fuck. I will give them that. Making a couple makeshift deathcamp in a week to house the diseased is far better than using schools as it puts the youth at risk. However, all of this could have been fucking prevented, or at least made drastically less severe if the officials of the city didn't arrest those 8 people and charge them with dubious crimes that they didn't fucking commit. This country has some laws that are just a fucking disaster, if they don't learn shit -- as they haven't from SARS, they are pathetic.

I think we should be hating the rats and cockroachs that enabled the spread, rather than anyone that has black hair and yellow skin. If these politicians aren't punished to the fullest extent, the world should put pressure on the CCP. Ranting on isn't going to bring the noose to these scumbag "public servants".

There's also been cases of slants being bashed up in the news. There was this sinkie that got bashed up in London or something... the news didn't talk about the perpetrators (their race) at all, I think they aren't British. To put into context my prior message about how spain's probably already treating your asshole boomer neightbors. Here's an anecdote from a few days ago. Point is, this is far from a weird occurence, so at this point if you're nice people and have even the most basic understanding of the language medical personnel will probably be happier to be dealing with you, at least it's not the usual spectacle. So don't be afraid to abuse spain's lax policies, every damned asshole in your country is doing so already, might as well treat the good ones too at this point.

That aside, the timing of this is just weird. Why now? It almost seems like the Chinese want globalisation when it comes to the industry, but are extremely ethno-nationalist when it comes to immigration, something that will likely never change. Also having a vote... in fucking China? Online? What?

I wouldn't mind living there if the environment was better and there isn't some lame fucking firewall that blocks off 95% of the webs. However there's a myriad of other shitty problems with this country, even in the highly developed places.

Doctors have a limit to how many corona virus cases they are allowed to report, it's 500 - any deaths beyond that have to be explained another way. China is running factories with no workers, producing nothing, to give the impression manufacturing is coming back.

It's not - at least in Wuhan and areas around it. Separate from the video, Foxconn is still soliciting workers from other provinces, offering to run them to work in shuttles for 3 - 4 day shifts. They have a medical team on premises at 2 factories, but they can't pay people enough to have a full workforce.

One of the other things they talk about is the likelihood of political revolution. There's not one, no one gets news in most places. People with smartphones have one app that gives them news and it's controlled by the CCP. In cities, people have VPNs and get information from elsewhere, but they don't care. If you handed out VPN connections to everyone in China, the vast majority would not use them.

This is bad. China's fake economy is now being faked while people continue to die, they've just found better ways to hide the bodies. And the leader of the WHO is a Communist, he goes along with the plan because he believes China is a utopia.

The optimist in me wants to think that the Chinese reporting of cases is accurate, that their brutal containment strategy has worked and they've put Corona-chan into full retreat.

But at the same time, I worry about what the implications are for the world, if the Chinese reporting of case numbers has been complete horseshit. If containment has failed and the virus has absolutely exploded among the population, and the press has been covering this up, then how fucking much has China damaged the global reponse?

China says things are fine. New cases are down, people are going back to work, factories are working, iPhones are shipping. Everything's okay, because the Chinese press says so, and since the Chinese press is state-owned, doubting the Chinese press is criticism of the Chinese state. So every other country's politicians keep their mouths shut about the weird numbers, and act like everything's going to be okay everywhere else too, because if China was able to contain it then so can we, right citizens?

If it turns out that China is covering up all kinds of shit and the situation over there is actually one or more orders of magnitude worse than they're reporting, then I ask: What the fuck has this country done to the planet?

The Chinese can try to bullshit the world, but many outside China have long since caught on. Also am sure a number of nations' intelligence agencies, which have access to info the average person doesn't have, have drawn a similar conclusion and have passed it to their respective leaders. So at the top levels China hasn't fooled anyone except perhaps themselves. The CCP's blown this one badly and showed they'll never be a great power at this rate.
