NO NO NO NO NO DOBSON (for the second time), that's NOT how this works. That's not how ANY of this works. The Kwami goes INTO the miraculous, and then the suit appears on the person, very rapidly, STARTING WITH THE MASK. That's nowhere near the Ring miraculous for Adrien, and cannot be said to be any part of "engulfing" process. This doesn't even actually work with Marinette and her earrings either, since her miraculous isn't even on her hand, yet she still does the motion with her hands to "put" her mask on similar to what Adrien does. In quick-transformation sequences (like in Miracle Queen and Chat Blanc), you don't even see any evidence of "engulfing". The suit just appears, poof, all at once.
Dobson tries to argue that it's the only way that "makes sense" as to how Tikki and Plagg lost their memories, because it "hit THEM" (as part of the suit). No, Dobson, you can't have it both ways. If it hit the suit, which was actually Tikki/Plagg, then HOW did Marinette and Adrien lose their memories, too? Shouldn't the suit have protected them, or if the suit was indeed Plagg/Tikki, WHY would it not JUST wipe Tikki/Plagg's memories? The most likely explanation is that the effect spread over the entire body (of the miraculous wearer) and hit the miraculous, too, and affected the Kwami within. (Somewanna point this out to Dobbles lol?). Adrien/Cat Noir was hit in his chest, not his head, and yet he lost his memory, so this means the magical energy of Oblivio was able to go through the suit and spread to affect the mind in the head from the chest onwards, so then it's a simple step from there to the energy going into the Miraculous and affecting Tikki and Plagg.
You're pretty much correct, because as someone on Tumblr pointed out, if the Kwamis themselves were actually the suit, a photographed/video recorded Ladybug and Cat Noir would be either naked, or visibly identifiable as Marinette and Adrien in their usual clothes, as it's already been established that Kwamis can't be photographed or video recorded.I'm likely wrong but what appears to be happening in the transformations is the Kwami goes into the Miraculous thus powering it on. Then the powered up Miraculous is what generates the suit and powers. The Kwami's aren't actually morphing into suits for the users. You'd think someone that likes magical girl anime would know how the transformation jewels work. As for why that memory ray took away Tikki and Plagg's memories as well. My best guess is that the ray also takes away the memories of whoever is touching the main target. So like one guy gets hit but his buddy/girlfriend is touching them so they get memory wiped as well.

So, cats/animals in general dying on the set of Koneko Monogatari (released in the US as The Adventures of Milo and Otis) is 100% urban legend. It's bullshit they read elsewhere of "my uncle works at Nintendo" tier bullshit. No joke, the source(s) is a "my uncle/father/whoever works/lives in Japan and there was controversy at the time of release but I totally can't show you the original material because it's in Japanese!" post.
I have never been able to find the actual source to the claim, however I believe it came from a "behind the scenes" featurette someone uploaded to YouTube. It showed a pet crate with a bunch of adorable orange kittens in it and the explanation about how the director used many different animals based on their personality for whatever scenes they were filming that day. I think this, that they needed 40+ kittens (because of their personalities and ages) over the span of four years of filming mutated into 40+ kittens dying instead.
To think the whole rumor about “oh they killed the cat” could only come from an imagination of some cucked manbaby in Europe or America. So, cats/animals in general dying on the set of Koneko Monogatari (released in the US as The Adventures of Milo and Otis) is 100% urban legend. It's pretty disappointing how many people believe it without even bothering to fact check it. And actually the rumor was first started all the way back in the 80's by Australians. Nobody could find actual proof for the claims though, and not from lack of trying. The only difference between then and now is that the number of dead kittens has doubled. To think the whole rumor about “oh they killed the cat” could only come from an imagination of some cucked manbaby in Europe or America.
I thought it looked AWFULLY familar, at first I just assumed it was my bias that Dobson likes to trace and I put it down to maybe half remembering his previous sketch but now you mention the Simon‘s Cat animation it is quite similar:Somehow, these movements remind me a lot of Simon's Cat. I would not be surprised if it turns out to be a direct copy.
There’s this weird janky-ness to Dobson’s animations that irked me.I thought it looked AWFULLY familar, at first I just assume it was my bias that Dobson likes to trace and I put it down to maybe half remembering his previous sketch but now you mention the Simon the Cat animation it is quite similar:

0 comments lol, Doblob has sunk to a level where he cant arse to deactivate comments, then again who besides us would comment?I thought it looked AWFULLY familar, at first I just assumed it was my bias that Dobson likes to trace and I put it down to maybe half remembering his previous sketch but now you mention the Simon‘s Cat animation it is quite similar:

I have never been able to find the actual source to the [koneko monogatari] claim,
Dobson sounds like those people who wanted Sonic to kiss with James Marsden as some kinda weird indoctrination into zoo sexuality or whatever.Sounds like to me he wanted a lesbian relationship between two cartoon babies.
Fucking creep.

Well, The director of the movie is I think biggest animal expert in Japan who has his own Island where he's carring animals of many species and maybe he once think "I can make a movie out of this! " so I like to think that we know what he was doing.I actually know this one but can’t dig up a source due to being on mobile data: It was a very old article on one of the Gawker sites, I want to say Kotaku but I’m not sure. I remember it from the very earliest days of forums shitting on Gawker for not doing their research properly.
