Worst case scenario is he's only looking at a decade or two in prison then paroled. While this obviously isn't ideal, it's also very unlikely given the circumstances of what he's done. What I’ve heard is that in some systems, the rule among the prisoners is that if you find out someone’s a chomo and you don’t do something about it (either by addressing the problem yourself or notifying others) you’re held liable as well. Shit’s treated like cancer; everything a chomo touches must be excised along with the chomo.

Pretty disappointed they dismissed the animal abuse charges, though. I need to put it in perspective and be happy with the fact justice is even happening at all.

From what I remember (unless something has changed in the last 10 years) even felony animal abuse convictions carry pathetic sentences. I'm happy they nailed him on the big ones that will follow him around for the rest of his life (however short that maybe).
