Saudi Arabia's oil giant Saudi Aramco has apologised after pictures started circulating on social media, showing a man walking around the Aramco office dressed up as a "human hand sanitiser".

"In light of the recent social media photo of our colleague wearing a sterilisation package... [we] express our strong condemnation of this behaviour," Saudi Aramco said in a statement in Arabic, which has been roughly translated to English.

"The company immediately stopped this act and took measures to prevent it from happening again."

Not gonna lie, it's a good costume idea for an off-color adult Halloween party. Just move the dispenser and you're gold.

Christ, disregard my post then, I suck cocks.

To compensate, for some info from Eastern Europe, the government backtracked on its original ban on all theatres, cinemas and public gatherings and is back to barely doing anything about the virus. Some dude who went to one of the large open air markets had been spreading it for days, with his mom being the first fatality. Ergo, there's community spread that'll only escalate.

So with that aerosol study that said the virus can be spread from breathing and survive on cardboard for up to a day and plastic for up to three day, I’ve decided to start leaving the Amazon packages that get delivered to my house outside for a few days, I Imagine the chances of getting infected from a box to be low, let alone it survive the colder nights, but it’s better to be the crazy dude then sorry, right? :)

I’d suggest you guys take similar precautions possibly spraying them down with disinfectant, if you live in a more “ethnic” neighbourhood so leaving packages outside for a few days isn’t on the table ;)
I spray shit down and quarantine it on balcony for 3 days before stashing or opening it.

This lady can speak of her experiences all she wants, but every country is different. I saw multiple people reblog this on Facebook today, and people are getting hysterical over it.

You know why things got so bad so quickly in Italy? Here's why:

1. The country reacted far too late to it. The United States started to take measures before its first case was found, let alone first casualty.

2. The average age of the people in Italy is about 10 years higher than the United States. This is a huge detail that alarmists are conveniently leaving out when concerning COVID-19

3. As a body of land itself, the United States is far more spread out in terms of population compared to so many other bodies of land, such as China or Italy.

I'm not saying that the United States needs to take it easy and ignore what's going on (and our government isn't doing that, by the way). However, generating absolute panic like this doesn't help anything. Getting people so frantic to the point where they're screwing everyone else over by over buying supplies doesn't help. People not thinking clearly does not help.

Many events have been canceled to the public in the United States already. I'd say that's taking far more effective measures than Italy did before shit hit the fan for them.
Incorrect, it spread so quickly in Italy, because there was a deliberate effort to spread it - apparently racism is more dangerous than death plague - the liberal types had shaming campaign for everyone avoiding Chinese or foreigners and literal hug-a-chinaman campaign, where people were hugging them on streets. Some of the posted videos also include people kissing them.

"I might die from this virus and other people will die from it as well ... But at least I won't be called raaaaacist!" Yup, that's Europe in a nutshell, all right.

Globalism is for moronic faggots.

Exactly. One of the videos I saw that was linked here even showed someone take the Asian man's mask off.

Nice, again.
Switzerland recently got 240,000 masks seized (robbery) by the German officials. The masks were robbed by customs.
This time, Switzerland got a bunch of surgical gloves robbed by customs, and disinfection liquids stolen by Italy.

The gloves were transported via Germany. It's said that this was a mistake and they will let the pallets through... I'd believe German officials as much as I would believe Chinese ones.

I guess Switzerland should route their medical supplies through Austria instead... would that be better? Clearly Germany and Italy doesn't give a fuck about them, and I'm sure France can care less too. Their remaining neighbour would be Austria (and Liechtenstein I guess?). If even Austria houses immoral politicians, then Switzerland is fucked.

I quite like Switzerland, lots of my tools are Swiss Made. Better than German or French ones!

I read on Chinanet that the Eurofag Union isn't willing to help Italy, however China sent tons of masks there. Is this true?
Either way, let's say fuck the EU.

This too, Panyang city of China gave 25k masks to their sister city Sapporo, Japan.
I guess Imperial Nips "Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere" might not be a wet dream if this stuff goes on...

Xiaomi did give masks to Italy. So Chinanet wasn't lying. These are some massive pallets.
I like those poetic phrases. Chinanet claims it's by "Lucius Annaeus Seneca", a famous Italian philosopher. I can't actually find references though I did find similar ones.

The only Italian philosophers I know would be Giovanni Gentile and Julius Evola (both Fascist philosophers).
I did study the ideology out of interest when I was some stupid edgy faggot back in the days.

As much as I like to make fun of Xiaomi products and the name being literally "little rice" which is a way to mock that smol anz microdik, and this might just be a show; at the end of day, it's physically existing medical goods, so it's nice to see. Great work Xiaomi.

Doing a number of word searches through my complete works of Seneca the Younger, I'm not finding anything, nor do I think I am likely to; although a Google search shows that the quote is the dedicatory plaque to the Parco Giardino Sigurta ("Fraternity Message"). I find a number of things about this bizarre, including the extreme obscurity, as well as the badness, of the quote.

To be fair, they work very very hard to social engineer that level of stupidity and self hatred. It's not something that really pops up naturally.

(Just wait till the woke in the West start talking about "Jewish Privilege." You'll see swarms of cops mysteriously appearing whenever Antifa tries to riot, all while the hipster commies suddenly get deplatformed everywhere. It'll be hilarious.)

Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson Contracted Coronavirus in U.S., Australian Officials Say

Now in isolation in a Queensland hospital, government officials say that people who have come in close contact with the couple will now need to self-isolate and quarantine.

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are believed to have contracted the coronavirus in the U.S., or in transit from there, according to officials from Queensland Health, the Australian government department overseeing the outbreak of the disease in that state.

On Thursday, a Queensland Health official, without specifically naming the couple, said that all new reported infections are non-contact cases and that the patients are believed to have “contracted the illness outside Australia and travelled to Queensland with the virus.”

Hanks and Wilson, both 63, had been in Australia for at least a week prior to their diagnosis. Hanks is down under for the production of Baz Luhrmann’s as-yet-untitled Elvis Presley movie for Warner Bros., while Wilson was accompanying him there and also performing concerts of songs from her new album Halfway to Home.

The married celebrity couple are two of seven new cases reported in Queensland on Thursday, amongst a total of over 130 cases across Australia.

The pair are in isolation for fourteen days in a hospital on the Gold Coast. Hanks first conformed the positive test for the virus in an Instagram post. They are also assisting Queensland Health with contact tracing. Details of their movements outside Australia have not been made public yet.

According to their sons Chet and Colin, Hanks and Wilson are doing well, but their quarantine period has forced production to shut down for at least two weeks on Luhrmann's Elvis biopic, in which Hanks was due to play Presley’s manager Colonel Tom Parker.

It's unclear how many of the cast and crew have been in contact with Hanks since their return to Queensland from the U.S. recently but all production personnel have been sent home and are awaiting instructions.

Local news outlets report that director Baz Luhrmann issued a statement to cast and crew requesting they stay home and that “all work activity on the production is cancelled and will not resume until further notice”.

Principal photography was due to start on the film, which has a release date of Oct. 2021, next Monday.

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said Thursday that "people who have come in close contact with Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson will now need to self-isolate and quarantine."

"I have been in contact with Baz Luhrmann quite often today and he has said to me that he wants to pass on to everyone that we stand with the people of Queensland in making sure we comply with any restrictions and of course that we want to see a speedy recovery," Palaszczuk added.

"The filming has been going extremely well on the Gold Coast and of course there will be a halt to some of the filming at the moment whilst Tom and Rita get the very best care that they will get in our Queensland hospital," she said.

Wilson meanwhile made two public appearances in Brisbane and Sydney on March 5 and March 7 and appeared on the Nine Network’s Today show in Sydney on March 9. She performed songs from her latest album Halfway to Home, at the Emporium Hotel in Brisbane on March 5 and at the Sydney Opera House on March 7.

Today Extra show host David Campbell has self-isolated for 14 days following Wilson’s diagnosis and Channel Nine confirmed it had taken action "in line with our crisis response plan" after the Wilson visit.

"Those who were in prolonged contact with her are self-isolating for 14 days … our premises is currently being cleaned in all areas she visited," a statement from Nine said.

The Elvis biopic is based at the Village Roadshow Studios on the Gold Coast and is the only production working at the studios at present. A Village Roadshow spokesman told THR the studios and Village Roadshow theme parks adjacent to the studios are still operating and open as normal and are following all Queensland Health and Australian government health guidelines, according to a Village Roadshow.

I can't stand Hollywood but I've read that Tom Hanks is a pretty good guy, so, good luck to him and his wife.

What am I missing, where is the gaffe? That the mic was hot, is that it?
If it's something he says I guess I just can't make it out.

He said fuck. It's funny but yeah, not really a gaffe.

Seneca was a Roman.

The reason it spread so quickly to Italy is that they actually have a pretty close relationship with China, with a lot of people traveling back and forth between the countries.

Doesn't seem too bad, but looking at Czech Republic just to the south, they've had a similar streak lately (6, 6, 7 and 7 cases detected on consecutive days), and then their count almost tripled since yesterday. We might be at that point now.
Well, carp, I was right. 16 new cases now, for a total of 47. Still waiting for more stats to see if this is related to any increase of tested samples per day. Fortunately none of the newly diagnosed people require intensive care, at least as far as we know, so prognosis is good.
