Starting to try and get into 3D modelling with Blender. First things first I felt the need to make a set of turnaround drawings of my chosen character (*coughsonacough*) even though I know them inside and out just so I could work on sculpting the 3D form instead of trying to make sure all of my proportions and such are right. Would work as a reference sheet thing too so that's good. I also tried to make the character reflect my actual body type better (aka considerably pudgy) plus I brought back the weighted lines I love doing because skinny teensy thin lines are lame.

I found a dumb thing that I drew back in 2009, so I did a little redo sketch thing of it.

Here's a side-by-side thing:

Really like the details in the 2nd attempt, it makes the image look so energetic and alive. One little problem for me is the back part of the body seems a little harder to see in the later one compared to the first. But nothing a little shading and coloring couldn't fix :heart-full:

I've been downloading a boatload of art programs lately (Blender, Dreamweaver, AfterEffects, ZBrush, Corel Painter, etc.. I have a bunch of stuff I wanna do!) and I decided to do a little sketching in Corel to get a bit more of a feel for the program as I am generally used to Photoshop. I really need to focus on drawing more because my hand is starting to go cold and it's painful to draw. Terrible timing considering how much work I have to do. (:_(
